Liverpool Football Club - Games

The reaction on here is the sort of reaction you will get from Liverpool fans watching their team play like damp squids against our bitter rivals - if you can't understand that you never will .

Benny if you think Nani is tearing Konchesky apart I think your watching the same game as Alan Smith! The main difference has been LFCs shocking use of the ball in the final 3rd. Its all neat and tidy in midfield but as soon as we cross the halfway line its like a keystone cops routine.

Roy said before kick off we have to contain them first and foremost Roy we are liverpool not Fulham, and this is what happens when you go to OT for a draw and not to attack.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

The excuse of us being in transition is frankly PATHETIC...

I call the game as I see it not make daft excuses. There is not one positive takeaway from our game, and its been the same from the beginning of the season...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Torres has been sh!t lets be honest here, service or no service he looks completely off the pace and it's common sense to not stand behind the player you're marking on a corner.  We'll come out better in the 2nd half so I'm not gonna go about whinging it up quite yet cause I think we've played well and if it weren't for that goal I would say we were looking at nicking a goal in the 2nd half.

Really einstein!

There's no rhyme or reason to our play, whether in possession or in the non-possession phase. We have the majority of possession and we have not created one chance. Our top striker is isolated and has hardly touched the ball; we have no cover for the back four, we do not press the ball, are sitting too deep, being dragged about the park, and yet we are not playing badly?

Dude, please.....

Man U weren't playing that effective until that goal, had 1 solid chance other than that it wasn't anything too dangerous.  We had more possession and were somewhat comfortable in defense.  This is similiar to how Rafa went about things at OT.  We defend well nick a goal sometime off a mistake and bang on from there.  Regardless of the style they both try to attain the same goal.  A big reason we haven't created anything, imo, has been Torres.  He had a couple of chances where he should have done a lot better.  The misplaced pass right before the goal I think was a big one.  He had a lot of space for the shot and he just gave it away.  I would have been happy had we gone into the half 0-0, and I don't see who wouldn't.. obviously we aren't in that situation now but we got scored on by a defensive mistake so we weren't necessarily under siege or anything.

there's still time to sneak a draw or get a win.
Agger and Babel should've started the game though.
and Rodriguez is complete garbage.

In fairness the passing looks to be getting better  and i agree with Big Mick i would have been content going in at half time 0-0 with the performance shown. There are some very obvious areas where we can improve and i'm sure we will.

Has been thus for a long time Nan, it'sjust that it's only now that some of you are realising it. You do get used to it after a few months if it's any consolation.

I dont think so Mick , not the way we are set up today , and i really cant understand how you can say Poulson has done well in front of our back four ,hes been terrible , static. no bite , nothing

We are mssing Kuyts harrassing high up the pitch, but we are also missing Fernando Torres, I dunno whats wrong with that guy but he needs to get his head out of his hole and put himself about, and make himself available for a ball

One thing I would agree on is that Poulson hasn't done well and I think his lack of pace may start to become an issue.

There are some serious sh*t talkers, like. Transition my bollox. We're in rapid decline here. Sure, give it a few months with no cash. Give this new radical, miracle system a chance to bloom and everything will be rosey. Before we know it, we'll be back in Champions League finals and bossing games against the top four again. Right? Is that what people seriously think? Get to f*ck!
