Liverpool Football Club - Games

Alan Smith talking about how a center forward should have defended better? Pleb.

Roy needs to sort it f*cking out. It looks like he's told our midfield to perform a containment job by standing 5 yards off players and not dive in. We have to f*cking dive in and rattle these shower of kunts, not fruit about and act like scared kids playing the big boys.

He has said we are second best, I can't disagree with that!
We need to get stuck into these feckers, and we are sitting back and admiring them.

Meireles into midfield and Stevie up front in the 2nd half imo.  Apart from the goal which was entirely Torres' fault we played alright, don't get all this nonsense being spouted really..  It's Man U away more than likely we're setup to get a draw and play on the counter, if we score we score but the plan was a draw I'm quite sure of that.

Torres has been sh!t lets be honest here, service or no service he looks completely off the pace and it's common sense to not stand behind the player you're marking on a corner.  We'll come out better in the 2nd half so I'm not gonna go about whinging it up quite yet cause I think we've played well and if it weren't for that goal I would say we were looking at nicking a goal in the 2nd half.

Anyone know why Knochesky was hiding behind Pepe and not on the post ?

how many times has torres / gerrard / cole done anything substantial attacking wise with the ball. Im not going to say what Roy should have done instead but very clearly, this set-up isnt working at all, we'll get dead and buried if he doesnt change something at halftime.

p.s. somehow, i kinda wished lucas was playing instead of Poulsen, never thought the day would come when i would say that.

Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Paul Konchesky is doing :censored:! He is having a very poor game so far. Cant cross, slipping over everywhere. He should have covered the far post. He needs to come off. He is not good enough.

We're missing Dirk Kuyt big time in this game. His work rate would be ideal, no?

Why is meireles playing the higher role when his position is further back ? Why are we giving them time and space in the middle that allows them to get the ball at ease and turn and play a pace ?! Why is Poulsen sitting so deep and doing nothing , Konchesky is getting taken apart by Nani - we need to press them so much more - we have to try and stop them getting so much time on the ball - Torres has zero support because we are sitting so deep . We look like we are set up to try and sneak a point . Hopefully we will have our second half improvement .
