He was exciting as f'uck at that age. Relatively unknown but an explosion of energy and enthusiasm, it was clear he was going to be a star.

he also had a nasty side to him as well, which (thankfully) was removed from his game.

class, hope he's in the mood on Sunday
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

In the words od Adrian Childs he coudnt be interviewed after the game because he was having some treatment!  Let's hope it was just a massage or something and nothing serious?
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

heard that but most players probably have 'treatment' after a match so I'm not reading too much into it

Would sum up everything with Gerrard over the last year if he is out for Sunday after having a blinder for England .

Also interesting to see he came alive once he moved behind the striker .

No he played behind Rooney who not once acted like a striker and spent most of his time out of the box in midfield - once Rooney went off for Milner and Gerrard went behind him and Zamora acted liked a proper striker you could see the space Gerrard was getting and exploiting - space that previously Rooney filled and flooded it . Gerrard looked a totally different player once Rooney went off and he ran the show and got two cracking goals - hopefully he isn't injured .
