If anyone watched Cole last season after coming back from his injury you would of seen someone who was a shadow of his former self hence why he was on he bench most of the time . If cole can recapture that form they that will be fantastic - if he can't then we would of been throwing more money away . I fear another Kewell situation with regards Cole .

Oh it seems that money got for yossi and insua will helpmpqy for cole

What the fck is it with you ? Got herpes or something ?!

he's probably worried that his lover Kuyt would be dropped from the starting line-up.

great bit of business from the club nonetheless. he is just 28 and he is easily the most creative player in the club. we get 6million and Cole for Benayoun. its almost as if Chelsea are paying Cole's wages for us :D

if Roy can get the best of Babel, Cole and Aquilani, that's a great trio of creative players. this could probably mean that Lucas would not be pushed further up as some have petitioned for? now all we need is a new leftback and perhaps a new DM should Javier leave.

If it wasn't for that outdated and annoying rule about only being allowed to play eleven at any one time, we'd have been sorted you're quite right.

We could have played 1-1-5-3 ! :D (still can)

GK Reina
CB Agger
DM Mascherano
RM/RWB Kuyt
LM/LWB Gerrard
CM Aquilani
AM Cole
AM Benayoun
RWF Rodriguez
LWF Jovanovic
CF Torres

Might solve our goalscoring problems, but I think we'd concede 3-4 most games minimum! You could always dump Mascherano and play two CBs and two wing backs, and hope there's enough tackling in midfield.

Some people dont like creativity (ola Rafa) They see it as a lack of discipline and uncontrolable. I recall Mourhino dropping Cole and complaining that he didnt work hard enough for the team. Well I remember him hurting us a good few times with his lack of discipline.

i love this idea of unveiling players. its like we all have to forget who we bought and what he looks like, and then all go 'ooooooohhhhhh' as the sheet is dramatically whisked off his head.

from the guardian

Cole intends to avoid the sort of culture shock Mascherano is said to have suffered on Merseyside by immersing himself in all things Liverpool while trying to help restore the club to former glories.

At one point yesterday the former Chelsea midfielder got so enthused about the prospect of chasing the title that Hodgson had to remind him: "Rome wasn't built in a day – we finished seventh last season."

Key thing with Cole is he stays fit. Not sure if his injuries last season were niggles related to that other one he had the season before. Anyway hope all that is past him now.

he was out for 10 months with a bad one, but (according to the player and our medical guys) has recovered.

Will be great to see a fit Cole, Aquilani, Gerrard and Torres play together!  :buttrock
