I'm liking the way he conducts himself tbh. Love the fact that after speaking to Torres and Gerrard and clearing the air as to their futures he's made a statement that says, "Torres and Gerrard are not for sale" end of story.

He's no nonesense. We didn't have that with Rafa or Houllier for that matter.

i'm liking him, very Liverpool FC indeed.

What exactly are you basing that on?

Roy just said the other day he isn't even for sale. For Roy to come out and and say he wants to keep and and then for Purslow to have a discussion about selling him well that would be seriously undermining. I know Purslow is a :censored:

but I think everyone needs to take of their sherlock homes hat and re assess the situation. Torres has said he wants to see what the future of the club holds so naturally that means the impending takeover.

Joe Cole is 7/4 with Paddy Power to go to Tottenham. That's quite big, big enough to suggest to me anyway that he isn't going there. I reckon he'll go to Arsenal meself.

Roy Hodgson has fuelled speculation linking Joe Cole with a move to Liverpool by admitting that he is happy to see the club linked with the player.

The 28-year-old playmaker is currently looking for a new club after he failed to agree a new deal with Chelsea earlier this summer, bringing to an end his seven-year association with Stamford Bridge.

Despite attracting interest from North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Cole has failed to secure a new club but bookmakers have suspended betting on where will be plying his trade with next season.

Kop boss Hodgson insists that he has not spoken with the midfielder recently and has referred any queries about potential targets to Christian Purslow, the Reds' managing director, who he claims is overseeing the club's negotiations in the transfer market.

He said: "I'm not a betting man so that doesn't actually play a big part that betting is suspended. "I don't even know enough about betting to know what that means.

"As far as I know, Joe Cole is still a player looking for a club.

"I know we've been connected with him, and it's good to know we're connected with players of that quality, but I don't have anything to report on the subject.

"I haven't had any discussions with him, but I had a brief chat a while back.

"If you want to know about transfer targets, and how things are progressing, you'll have to ask Christian Purslow because he's the man looking after those discussions, not me."

So it looks like Roy is in charge then dosnt it :glare:

I agree with Lee J, RH appears to be a very nice, mature manager. We could have done far worse.

The club is a fuc.king joke Reg, and i think Roy is starting to see what he has let himself in for , a fecking banker in charge of our tranfer dealings and who we buy and sell, In my eyes after what he has come out with today he is just the coach ,no more , That is twice now he has told us Talk to Christe he know more than me, WTF IS GOING ON AT OUR CLUB,

God he is giving off signals already. Caretaker manager is right Reg. If we are sold this year I can't see him staying on unless he has a fantastic season.
