How much Lakes? The club needs to stand firm and get whatever they wanted before.

Spain could get to the final and I wouldn't put it past Torres to score in the final again. Cut price my :censored:.

Roman has flown off to SA and is tabling a 55million bid for Torres. he wont go above that apparently.

Then he can :censored: off. If our owners are as greedy as we know they are they will know that if they can hold out for another 20Mil then they might as well throw up a brick wall.

And how he can he be flying out there when Torres himself said he isn't discussing his future until after the world cup? That comes accross as a bit of dis respect from Fernando if he is meeting anyone there before he has even talked to Roy. Of course it's still just rumors...

You believe everything you read?

Quoted of another forum.

Well, considering Torres does not wish to discuss club matters during the world cup, especially as they have a big game tomorrow and the fact Liverpool would have to give permission to Abramovich/Rent Boys to actually speak to him, you can guarantee that the papers claiming this are once again full of :censored:.

As Chelsea and Man City are the new media darlings due to their mega money rather than non existent histories, of course the papers would love to see players of Torres' calibre at these clubs. If the media get an opportunity to attempt to 'unsettle' our best players in the hope of jumping ship to their darlings you can bet they will grab it and print whatever :censored: they can to assist them.
99.9% of articles are without quotes, those WITH quotes are actually 'misquotes' or 'made-up quotes'.

Torres will honour his contract at most, at the least, he will give us 1 more season and if he leaves, I am without doubt that it WILL NOT be to another English club. I do seriously believe Torres will consider the fans who adore him IF/WHEN he eventually moves on.

the owners have nothing to do with buying or selling players now mate, its a board and manager thing now.

the price looks to be around 60mil +

His agent is said to have contacted Man City in May.

well maybe the media are stirring news, maybe they are not. but there is no difference between that and opinion of anyone in any forum as they are not facts.

if we do have to sell either of Torres, Gerrard or Mash, i rather lose Mash. he is replaceable.

This should probably be best discusses in the Torres thread so ill just say this. If his heart isn't 100% with Liverpool then he should go. But how much of that money would go to Roy to spend? 40Mil?

but after talking to a friend it seem Toress might have set the wheels moving 6 weeks before going to the world cup....and they might be harrd to stop due to the amount of money he could make from the deal.
the club would also stand to make some very silly money out of the player.
but there is fear that due to the way he looks at the world cup his price might come down and this is making the wheels move faster.

so for the first time i will say there is a very real danger that Torres might not be at our club next year.
