Well, considering Torres does not wish to discuss club matters during the world cup, especially as they have a big game tomorrow and the fact Liverpool would have to give permission to Abramovich/Rent Boys to actually speak to him, you can guarantee that the papers claiming this are once again full of .

As Chelsea and Man City are the new media darlings due to their mega money rather than non existent histories, of course the papers would love to see players of Torres' calibre at these clubs. If the media get an opportunity to attempt to 'unsettle' our best players in the hope of jumping ship to their darlings you can bet they will grab it and print whatever they can to assist them.

the owners have nothing to do with buying or selling players now mate, its a board and manager thing now.

This should probably be best discusses in the Torres thread so ill just say this. If his heart isn't 100% with Liverpool then he should go. But how much of that money would go to Roy to spend? 40Mil?

Untill late last night i was 100% sure that Rot could keep Torres at our club.

but after talking to a friend it seem Toress might have set the wheels moving 6 weeks before going to the world cup....and they might be harrd to stop due to the amount of money he could make from the deal.
the club would also stand to make some very silly money out of the player.
but there is fear that due to the way he looks at the world cup his price might come down and this is making the wheels move faster.


so for the first time i will say there is a very real danger that Torres might not be at our club next year.
