Sad to see him go after all these hardworking 'Legendary' years he has made and we should hopefully have a testemonial for him, he is a true legend! love to see him back alongside Benitez again in the near future, this time as a coach

Hard to replace??
Try impossible..fuc'king legend of an LFC player, right up there with Hansen in our lifetime. There is no send off good enough for what this man gave to our club!Nothing anyone can do will ever replenish his efforts for the cause..and we got him for peanuts as well!
I just hope a lot around him can learn from him before he goes,im not talking about defending or playing football.
I mean pride for the shirt every time,100% effort and sheer professionalism!

Big Sami Hyypia!!

I would rather have Hyypia over Agger and Skrtel, he would never let us down.

I agree, I'll really miss Sami, awesome defender in his prime and still damned good now.

wont be near a pc or a telly today, so jus takin this chance to say I hope Sami has a massive (positive!!) impact on todays game. love to see him score the winner in a close game where he missed nothin an won every tackle/header/bust up with Carra before walkin off to a tumultuous farewell in injury time. Classiest defender we'v had since Jocky Hansen, the man will never be forgotten at Anfield, and I hope his return as a defensive coach aint too far away.

I hear he's gonna be captain, a fittin finale to a great time at Anfield and a player of the highest calibre.

Thanx Sami.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

God bless you Sami, a true gent and will be surely missed by all.

A mammoth of the game and for me still one of the best defenders i have seen,
i hope he comes back one day and teaches Carra how to pass the ball :p and
score the odd goal or four.
