Tottenham H. v LIVERPOOL Sat 11th Jan 5.30pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Sat Jan 11, 2020 9:17 pm

We played well for an hour but ended up riding our luck at the end. Most of our problems were caused by ourselves though with players dawdling on the ball, missing tackles and giving it away cheaply etc.
The important thing though is that we won.

Just like we learnt from the cl final loss to come back and win it the following season, we will do the same with the league.

Spurs got what they deserved, f**k all.

They had 33% possession...at HOME

What I meant was we were lucky not to concede towards the end there. it’s irrelevant now anyway, we got what we needed

Bring on United at Anfield in a week’s time, and let’s make amends for OT.

Great win and surely the psychological battle with other main contenders is won? We just need the points to finish the job now.

Come on you reds!

Great win. Ali was impressive - what a great buy. The lads played brilliantly against a difficult opponent. Lets face it as much as I detest Mourinho he usually finds a way and yesterday was no exception. Spurs nearly got a draw partly with our help but mainly down to Mourinho’s incredibly boring tactics.

Phenomenal start to the season. So proud of if this amazing team. Klopp is relentless. There were times yesterday when his expression  and behaviour was more akin to somebody managing a team that was facing relegation rather than breaking records !! Just love him !!

I think what was driving Klopp nuts was the fact we were gifting them opportunities to score as opposed to making them work hard for their chances.
Son's miss came from Gini dawdling on the ball and getting disspossessed in a dangerous area and that sitter the Spanish lad missed came from a passage of play where one of their players managed to somehow barge his way past Hendo and Trent. Trent in particular should have cleared it but he kicked the ball straight against the players shin and it bounced past Trent and into the lad's path.
We got a bit lucky with those 2 misses but there hasn't been a title winning team that hasn't rode its luck, heck I spend half the 90's and early 2000's pointing at my tv screen complaining about how jammy United's were. Every week something went their way, it was as if refs were scared to upset Ferguson.

Great result, average game. However, one up on Maureen will do just fine and a step closer to the league title which we have waited a long time for.
a week off then we play the mancs on our patch.

disciplined performance and a win, however, Liverpool let Spurs bank into the game, by halftime we should be 0.3 !

It's amazing how technical the game plan has become, Klopp really is on another planet.

absolutely love these tunnel cam videos mate! cheers for posting it!

All our players are gentlemen, signing shirts and the bit where Robertson runs to the little kid and gives him his shirt and a kiss on the head - what a man. that'll stay with that little lad forever. a credit to the badge all of them.
