Gini looked shattered after the 50 minute mark.. Its time to give him abit of a rest. Brilliant win by the lads. Spurs made it tough after going in lead early but we have the winning mentality to never give up. We need to fight for every point this year because City will not let us breathe.

That's 10 points from a possible 12 now from games against our top 6 rivals. We struggled a bit in the big head to heads last year but 10 from 12 is much more like it, it's title winning form in fact.

Great position to be in. City haven't played anyone challenging yet, and they'll drop more points. Our match with them will be huge.

Great win glad we got 3 points really needed it. Had we dropped points it could have slowly destabilised us.

Keeper kept them in it first half after Kanes opening goal. Playing better than Lloris. The early strike encouraged Potch to defend and that was their big mistake. We overwhelmed their defensive formation and inevitably broke them down. Has Spurs been braver maybe a different outcome. Fabhino, Mane and Trent excellent today. Firmino and Salah not at their best but an excellent win with others stepping up to the mark.

Speaking of Keepers Alisson made some nice saves there at the end, my heart was in my mouth a couple of times particularly when their players got their heads to a couple of crosses but the big man made it look simpler than it was.
Good to have him back.

Needless to say, it will be one of the defining matches of our season mate. We go for the kill and they'll be limping and playing catchup rest of the season. If we draw or we loose, momentum would have shifted in favour for them.

Thank goodness for that, I thought I cursed the game with my earlier post...

I sensed earlier in the season that our luck would run out, yet here we are just grinding out results week in week out without setting the world alight.

A tricky away game vs Palace up next after Arsenal in the Mickey Mouse cup and Genk in the CL.

Some of you may see the Cup game as disposable, but imo it’s important to keep the run going. Remember that pitiful performance vs Wolves last season, which seemed to take the edge off us somehow.

Anyway, after Palace we have Villa away, then City at home. The atmosphere in that will be electric, and almost like a European night under the lights ... in fact we must treat it like one, because with our 12th man they will wilt under pressure, I’m confident of that.

Massive win and once again we're showing the maturity needed to win the league by grinding out results. Well done reds, keep going!

Just sometimes it is down to attitude and desire. Henderson for one displayed that in bucket loads against Spurs. Let's face it Klopp has made this lot very difficult to take points off. Villa away followed by City at home and then Palace away are going to be defining. Only 9 points will do !!

Massive win after a shocking start, however, the players' efforts was so positive and could have won it by big margin only their keeper had prevented that!, and at the end, we needed a gift and we got it.  Our best player Fabinho he was a colossus, however, our worse player was Sahah, apart from converting the spot-kick.

Good luck lads against Arsenal and the weekend game.
