:D  that goal really was not necessary. good long ball by reina, nice run by babel, good shot by pacheco. kuyt just had to tap in really.

we were bossed in the midfield today, but i think we got off a little lucky. 3-1 seems a little unfair to trabzonspor, they did after all run us ragged for extended periods of time.

but a win is a win, and well done boys! :)

We should have been home and dry after 1st leg and missed a few second half tonight. The Turks put everything into the first half this evening but then got nervy and tired and we showed our pedigree by being patient and scoring the away goal to seal victory.

Can't agree with that. We were woeful in the 1st half but have had by far the greater possession in the 2nd. I think the score-line refects that. And, we should have won the 1st leg 3 or 4-0!

You're not alone. Perhaps not often in the Premier League, but this needs to be a year we see a lot more of him.

Game over
Good result - through to the next round and thats all that matters

Second half was so much better and the introduction of pacheco turned the game around and in the end the scoreline may of flattered us a bit but we did what was required .

Good to see that improvement in second half and good subs from Hodgson

Brilliant result that in a tricky atmosphere. How come its gone quite all of a sudden? when half time came 3 pages whipped by. But at full time, having got the result its all gone eerily quite....
