LIVERPOOL v chelsea Thur 4th Mar 8.15pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Wed Mar 03, 2021 7:41 pm

Probably our biggest game of the season, win this and we’ll be in a good position to kick on and finish in the top 4, if we don’t win it there will be fireworks going off again like when Richarlson scored against Southampton the other night.

Edit - Leicester dropping 2 more points tonight against Burnley and Villa getting beat by bottom club Sheff Utd, 2 more results that have gone our way, let’s make the most of it by winning tomorrow.

Edit II - United only drew against Palace as well, it will tough against Chelsea but we cant afford to look a gift horse like this in the mouth, we need to win.

Few results again going our way, Liecester and United dropping points again.

3 points Vs Chelsea would do wonders, Just hope we get them. If we can go on a good run who knows maybe even 2nd is possible.

If United lose Vs City and we beat Chelsea and Fulham we will only be 3 points behind them.

Yeah good point mate, forgot City and United play each other this weekend, the next few days could prove to be pivotal, a week ago it looked like we might get tailed off but a win tomorrow and another one on Sunday and we could be right in the mix for second. Of course if Chelsea win it will be them in a fantastic position not us.
Tomorrow is massive.

Massive freakin' game. A big Chelsea fan pal of mine is not confident because he doesn't think they can score, which increases the need for Kebab and Phillips to play like men possessed. Ideally we want to pin Chelsea in their own half but we have to turn possession into goals, we must stop wasting opportunities in front of goal!

This could be a season defining game, 2-1 to the Reds, pi$$ed as a newt by half time due to stress and nail biting till the 93rd minute!

Come on Reds, all teams bar Citeh are dropping points allowing us back into it!

Everything seems to have gone in our favour...though it remains to be seen whether WB can snatch a point or 3 vs Everton.

What are the chances of Jota getting involved? Boy have we missed him.

Hard to predict this one....

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS

Team to face Chelsea: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Kabak, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Jones, Thiago, Mane, Firmino, Salah.

Subs: Adrian, Milner, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jota, Shaqiri, Origi, R Williams, N Williams.

GREAT to see Fab back in defence and Jota joins the bench..

Would like to see Keita get at least 30 mins ...and Jota a few as well.

Heard it on the radio today that they have only conceded twice in 9 games since Tuschel took over.  Based on that I wouldnt expect them to be open by pushing up.

Big game no doubt but we have to go for the win!!  Hope fab is in midfield and that Keita gets a decent run. With any luck Jota will get a run out too.

Il go for a narrow win at 2.1.

I'd be gutted if I was a chelsea fan. Those offside decisions are just laughable.

WTF was that from Mane
