Rafa is giving us an unofficial winter break

I think you may be onto something.
It allows for Kelly and Riera to recover from injury, Masch to return from his ban and time to bring in Maxi. It is after all a massive game.

Postponing it means more chances of having new players to play against them and gives a chance for our injured players to rest more like Riera, Mascherano and Kelly. On the other hand, it also gives them the same benifit, which might mean that Aaron Lennon might start against us if it is postponed, as well as Woodgate and Bentley.

Pity the game's been called off. I was actually looking forward to this match with a realistic optimism, instead of the usual blind faith and hope that I've had when we play at Anfield.
However, I must query your choice of players who are on our injury list. Bently is only on the list because his fellow team mates (and Harry, in fact particularly Harry) take it in turn in training to kick him. Bently is, and I hope he never plays for us again. You lads are in need of a quality wide right player, aren't you?
