Liverpool Football Club - Games

Expect Spurs to sit back soak up the pressure and try to hit us on the counter.

As Chelsea lost and City drew again.

We really must capitalise if we want the damn title.

All the Champions League teams are stuttering and have no spark in their play. I'm expecting a pretty drab affair TBH. Assume it will be the same 11 that started against Fulham.

Sh1ttin' me bags over this game. Much as I hate to say it, Spudz are a vast improvement over last season and those two up front are really hurting teams. They're almost telepathic. The strange thing is they seem to have very few injuries and are playing just as often as we are?

They are not clocking up anywhere near the miles so not surprised. Defending for all you are worth, having only 30% possession at home, having one or two shots on goal per match is not going to take them all the way. His system will get found out and when the usual Kane/Son injuries do come they will fall away and Maureen will start the whole “everyone is against us”. His team will implode like they always do.

Agree that we MUST capitalise here - more than points at stake IMO. Whoever wins puts daylight between them and the other contenders especially City and Chelsea The impact on confidence for the winner will be massive and affect performances over the Xmas period for the good.

Massive, massive game which we have to win- preferably with a swashbuckling 3-0 ...but a 1 -0 win with an og off of Kane's backside will do.

I reckon the lads will be up for this game, at present we are pretty inconsistent and can't seem to string a few good performance together but a top of the table clash at home will have them really fired up.

We are doing well to still be joint top given our recent form, our last 5 results have included 3 draws and those draws came against teams we should really be beating. In normal circumstances particularly in this modern era a draw is pretty much as bad as a loss but our one saving grace as others have mentioned is that everyone seems to be in the same boat
The one area where we have shown a bit of consistency is our performance’s against the better sides, we have beaten the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester and Wolves, were blatantly robbed of 2 points against Everton and drew against City at their place. Hopefully that trend continues tonight because you sense that although there is still a long way to go this game tonight will be one of those signpost games which define seasons.

Agree with everyone, massive game today, and winning it will put us in a great position considering how things have been going for us so far this season.

Gg...Spurs is not making any threat yet we got pick pocketed   I don't want to pin blame but if Virgil is there, the goal won't go in

Ffs, they score out of nothing. That definitely looked offside though. Surely a leg hair or something must have been off?

That var check very quick, it looked offside and normally when its tight they take a long look at it. However, they know what Son does so he shouldn't have been given so much room.
