Taking positives from the game;

We played great football and Gerrard was awesome just coming from deep.

This is probably one of the better games Kuyt has played so far this season. His link up with Bena was just great and gave us great width from the wings.

And Bena...wow, what else is there to say, MOTM defo. He just brings so much energy whenever he's on the pitch for us.

Go 'pool YNWA.

Watch the goal highlights;

spurs are w@nk
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I had a feeling it would be about 4-0. Good solid performance, especially pleasing to see Benny and Kuyt perform well in their respective roles.

It's hard not to think that Gerrard moving back into a conventional CM role wasn't simply a consequence of Masch's absence. Away to West Ham I think we'll see him playing off Torres again, with Masch and Lucas as the two CMs.

Can someone give me some fair player ratings? And I take it yossi played behind Torres? Lucas played well with SG?
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

Don't think a midfield pairing of Mash and Lucas offers any creativity. Personally I hope Rafa keeps Gerrard in a conventional CM role

I think everyone has cottoned on to the Gerrard in support of Torres tactic and although extremely effective last season without Alonso to now supply the through balls it's a game plan most teams are prepared for and easily stymied with a bit of man to man marking on Gerrard and Torres.

Dropping Stevie back to CM makes sense to me, if anything it gives him more freedom to operate as he see's fit and also, given his threat, perhaps takes away some attention from the player in support of Torres.

Until we scored, I thought Gerrard wasn't having much impact on the game. It wasn't until the play seemed to open up that he got more involved, of course it could be that it opened up more because he was getting more involved
