even if we would have been man marking, its likely that Insua would have been outclassed aerially by whoever he would have been marking

like what John Craig said, excellent in the air, but other things he is clumsy :D

gave away the ball multiple times, doesn't have the game reading of hyypia or carragher, which he needs because he is slow. Clumsy at times.

Anyone hearing Stevie talk now? He said there have been a lot of "meetings this week" and "people got things of their chest".

Good enough in the air but made a couple of big mistakes when on the ball and gave away free from which corner came ....goal came from, hard on him considering the team isn't playing well. Will be good in the air

I agree with aCe' that Riera was a big plus for us today.  We had genuine width on both flanks today, with Riera and Insua linking well down the left and Johnson and Kuyt doing the same down the right.  Riera's also very, very good at keeping possession and bringing teammates into play.  I was glad to see him back.  Our announcer suggested that he'd been carrying a knock and that today was the first time he was fit enough to start a match.  Also explains why he went off when he did, if true.

Very glad of the three points!!!

I could see it was coming but you never know. Thought it might be one of those days.

I thought Muamba did a very good job on Gerard. I know some of the lads on here were talking about him pre season. If Rafas looking for someone English and with quality he could do worse. I'd rather have him than Lucas. Masch is a bit off the boil too, I think.

Let's not forget it's the number of wins in a season that wins you the league.

We have 2 after 4 games, Man U 3, Chelsea 4.

If we win the next 3 it's game on again

yeah but isn't it also true that you have to avoid loosing too many, in that case we have played 4 lost 2!!!

Just kidding with you, but I still don't like the look of our team, the spark has gone out of it somehow, really hope Aquaman can breath some more life into it when he's fit.
