Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Sun Mar 28, 2021 1:04 am

Still a week away but I may as well start the thread now, it goes without saying that we will not only need to win this but probably the rest of our remaining fixtures as well to qualify for next season’s CL.

Nice time for a game on the Saturday night. Looking forward to it.

So far so good with the lads on international duty. Haven't read any reports of any injuries so touch wood we have a full squad to pick from.

Chelsea 3-1 down at home vs WBA. A win for us today and all of a sudden we're only 2 points behind 4th.

We need to win this and the prospect of being 2 points off 4th should be motivation enough.

C'mon the pool :buttrock

Can't really overstate how important this match is. If we want top 4, we must get 3 points. No excuses today.

...is absolutely right, they should smell blood and go for the jugular... sustained pressure can make any team falter in the final stretch of the season and we need to apply it from tonight.

Opportunities like this don't come often, we really must get 3 points. Common Red men blitz these lot.

I think this will be a high scoring game because of suspect defenses.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Milner, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Wijnaldum, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Jota, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, R. Williams.

Would rather have Keita starting as a more attacking option- Milner is too pedestrian and this is a must win to have any chance of top 4.

Hard to predict this one, I just hope we can score early and put them under sustained pressure. a third consecutive clean sheet would be a bonus. no silly mistakes...

Different team since Jota came on. He must start every match now. He gives us so many options up front.

Sums up our season since Jota's return:

61 minutes - Jota comes on with the score at 0-0.

68 minutes - Liverpool lead 2-0
