Liverpool Football Club - Games

Goes to show one player can dramatically change the fortunes of a team and that we don't need an overhaul to the extent we thought (it was hard to see things this positively early in the season i admit). Like when VD came in and we suddenly looked world class, Jota has slotted in like he's been here years and elevated us to the next level.

I can't wait till Real now  :grinning:

3-0 good 3 points. With Chelsea and Leicester losing the fight for Top 4 is on. Bring on Real

Anyone spot Klopp chatting with Ostergaard? I hope he was asking him if he's available this summer. He's a good player.

Firmino should NOT start before Jota again this season- or next for that matter.

There is a complete chasm in the attacking threat / goal scoring with Jota on the pitch...

Great response by the lads, things really open up now for top 4. Great confidence boost ahead of the Real Madrid game as well.

How good is Jota though? What an impact.

Great performance tonight topped off with the perfect result. That press is just so vital to how we play so it was great to see it again as it made the difference. Jota Motm for me and hands down the best finisher out of them all. He attacks the ball perfectly.

2 points off 4th and a bit of a buzz floating about us again!! Bring on Madrid  :buttrock

That was a terrific performance when we really needed to pull one out of the hat as well, make no mistake we had to win that game tonight and we did.
Fab and Thiago looked imperious in the middle of the park and Jota just has that happy knack of being in the right place at the right time. Can’t wait for Tuesday now.

We were banging the door but needed that cutting edge, killer instinct and that is what Jota gave us. Had he not come on I wouldn't have been surprised if we drew that game.

Well played lads, from top 4 hanging by a thread to joining in a tight fight. Lots to play yet but feeling very optimistic.

We’re all understandably eulogising about Diogo who certainly made the difference when he came on. However Mo’s goal for me was absolutely brilliant, fantastic ball from Fab and a superb finish through the goalies legs was just a bit special. Sadio’s unintended assist for the third goal was the luck we have been missing.

Great game, solid back 4, Fab and Thiago dominating midfield and the front four finally showing their teeth. Bring on Real for some CL revenge!

Bobby had a good game in my opinion, he plays a completely different game to Jota, he plays behind the front 2. Bringing Robbo off was totally logical and it worked out well. Bobby still has an important part to play in the overall shape and success of the team.

Fook me I enjoyed that, -ish.
Really thought before Jota came on that it was going to be scoreless but kudos to the wee lad.
Fab masterful in midfield.
I think I spotted Phillips and Ali having a cuppa and a chat in the second half too, they were that comfortable.
And the chat at the end of the match between Klopp and Odegaard didn't go unnoticed, though I doubt Klopp would have said anything Arteta would be pi$$ed about.
Happy days. Onto the next game
