Still the romans lost to never rise again...

That's actually debatable...

For example, the eastern roman empire survived until 11th century or so and then it became other nations. This can be considered as the roman empire evolving and not falling.

And then during the Enlightenment, Florence and Italy were central to the rise of human thought, philosophy, art and architecture, etc...

And then there was this Classical Revival in art and architecture...

So who can safely claim that Rome fell and never rose again...

Correct
Rome had such an influence on western history and culture that we are still talking about it now!
Do you think people will be talking about the LFC Empire in hundreds of years from now?
I think so

I try not to look at the league table too much. It's an awful sight being so far behind and having to contemplate anything less than a challenge for the top four feels totally alien, especially when your traditional rivals are so far ahead of you. Nevertheless, I'm very much looking forward to the games ahead, to see us attack more, to hear the supporters in great voice, to see Kenny back in Anfield dugout, to see Torres get back on form, to see if and how Joe Cole fits into the team, to see other youngsters like Pacheco get a run out, to the Derby.... to all of these things and more. If we can build some momentum then I might think about the league table. Until then, feck it.
