If I was manager I wouldn't give up on the Championship yet, despite how far we are behind. When did Wenger and Ferguson ever give up?

However, I predict us to finish 5th, and Houllier goes.

Realistically, Man U are technically and professionally better, Chealsea have now more depth and I believe may even win it. I expected them to struggle to xmas , but I've been proved wrong once again.  Arsenal have more skill and movement plus a good manager.  Newcastle have the most experienced and canny manger in the league and with Shearer they will be amongst it. You always get one or too surprises with the so called minows.

So considering all this. If GH takes his head out of his backside plays to our strenghts and gets the team on a roll we can win the league by 5 pts from Chealsea. Arsenal 3rd Newcastle 4th and ManU relegated.

5th to 6th is most possible..

Knew the doom and gloom merchants would be out in force for this question. But I really think that a top 4 finish would be realistic, with the few quality players meant to be coming in January we should have a good team assembled.

Top 3 finish would be hard to achieve, unless we went on a tremendous run and one of the present top 3 had a spectacular collapse, like we did last season.Realistically a 4th place and a champions league spot is possible.

I reckon we are capable of getting 4th. We have a much better squad than Newcastle.I can't see Birmingham , Fulham and Man City lasting the pace....although I do believe Man City could get that 4th place next year if don't act now.
I reckon we will get 4th which is Houlliers renewed target for the season .

Come on you reds!!!

i think Man U still one of the top 2. either arsenal or chelsea will be the other team in top 2.

for the 4th place...Newcastle, Liverpool, Man City are fighting for it.

Fulham & Postsmouth will make it within top 10, Middlesbrough not likely to be relegated...

Relegation teams : Wolves, Bolton, Leicester or Leeds...

this is just my prediction

yeah middlesborough, fullham and portsmouth looking good now, remember I did that prediction pre season...Having 10 games out of the way is one hell of an advantage.

Still as a preseason prediction, I hope I am still as close by end of season as I am now. Especially the Liverpool = 4th. Oh by the way, if liverpool finishes out of the top 4, GH gets the sack, I bet my bottom dollar on that.
