Do you think they removed Fooliers heart when he went into hospital ? He certainly lost something . Our players (SG apart) seem to have lost their passion and fight and Foolier seems unable to motivate them.
I'm not forgetting what he did for us but every manager and player reach a point where it's time to move on . I think for GH that time has arrived.

When your players are missing at the same time you can't compete with the best. The 25% of games these players missed were all together. We were missing Henchoz, Hamann, Finnan, Kewell, Owen, Carragher and Baros at one stage.

Who plays then? at right back? Carragher? no injured... Finnan? no injured... Henchoz out of position?... no injured.... Gerrard?... no needed to hold the midfield together? Biscan? Maybe with Traore in middle? or Maybe a kid who doesn't know how to defend. The midfield consiting of Smicer, Gerrard, Murphy and Diouf, the striker force with no Owen or Baros... hmmm.

Yeah i totally agree injuries clearly aren't an excuse this season.

The fact is no-one is saying we'd have won the league had there been no injuries but we would have definately had a realistic chance of finishing 3rd if we'd just had a normal run of injuries and suspensions but the fact is it has been extremely abnormal. Newcastles has aswell to an extent but nothin like what we've suffered.

Oh right. So losing wide players doesn't effect the balance of the team escpecially when you have to replace them with central players and central players that have little attacking instinct i may add.

Its not about being pretty its about winning games. The fact is we've only ever had the players to players to play a defense minded game since Houllier took charge and to get the best out of the current first 11 we would again need to play this way.

He changed the tactics last season without the personel and we suffered because of it. This season he's added Kewell and Finnan which imo were the right additions, but we still lack a striker and a centre half as a minimum. He's made mistakes, but his acheivments in the first three years imo means he deserves the chance to see if he can turn this round and considering the way this freak of a season has gone i don't think its fair to judge him on this.

I think this summer he will make the right signings AGAIN and we will push on and compete next season, if we don't then i'll hold my hands up and say i was wrong, but at least i'll be able to say i gave him a chance and stood by the man all the way through. If i'm right... and we do challenge and look like side going places again next season then what?

but who's choice was it to have defensive minded palyers? im sure it was the managers. Houllier can organize a good counter attacking side so he should stick to it, but saying that everyones already worked that tactic out and Unfortunately for us our manager doesnt know any other tactics

Houllier decided his tactics and brought in the players to play them !!
We were rumbled and teams knew exactly how to deal with us. Hence the decision to play a more attacking game, which Houllier is still trying to work out how to play, without success.
If we didn't have the personel to cope then why change tactics? Seems pretty dumb to me.

You can't really call this a freak season when last season was not much better and the performances for the past two seasons have been overall very poor. This isn't just a blip! Please don't use the excuses of injury etc. as we have had most of the squad available for last 3 months and haven't exactly set the world alight, if improved at all.
It's not who he has or will sign that worries me but the fact that even the good players he has signed are by and large massively underachieving under his management.

I guess if you're right Stu then you're a footballing genius. I honestly hope you are too, I don't give a toss who the manager is to be honest, it's the club that matters and it would be fantastic to be challenging for the title but just can't ever see that happening under GH, sorry.

Again you have chosen not to back up your claims with figures. Carragher and Finnan have both played a minimum of 14 games, care to find out when they were both absent? I would be shocked if it is more than 10 games

I don't deny Liverpool are stronger with Carragher than without, what I find really funny is that you are so stupid as to believe that it makes such a massive difference. We're still performing badly with Carragher back - you haven't come back with an answer to that (surprise, surprise)
