Yet again we've been disappointed by Liverpool, all that promise of the title. We just can't finish at all, we've had so many chances today and just haven't put them away.

It was the woeful defending that cost us the game.

All of the three goals they scored against us today were avoidable, we have to look at ourselves and make sure we don't make these mistakes again. The title is a far off dream at the moment but if we continue to be sloppy at the back against teams like Charlton we're going to struggle to get into the champions league positions.

C'mon reds, a BIG improvemnt against the gunners is what we want!

Schoolboy defending and schoolgirl finishing. Hope it's just one of those blips I said might happen along the long road of recovery. How could we let a man carry the ball from deep in his own half with one tepid challenge before he calmly picked his spot for the winner. Time to get the knuckle duster out GH.

I agree;these things do happen but lets not go back to being ultra-defensive.GH and Thommo need to kick the defenders up the back-sides so they don't repeat this performance next week.

Well, our defence is really pathetic at times. The third goal by Lisbie - gosh ! it was not just some superb running and a good shot that did it. the cover was totally absent ! You got to shut down a player fast and not give him so much space and room to run. One thing about the liverpool defence is that
they leave it till the last few yards near the goalpost to narrow the striker and that is real bad. It brings about undue pressure. They just run with the player but never close him down ! Charlton defended better. They filled the centre with players and were playing well. I do not know how many matches and mistakes they need before they can learn this !

If we can win our matches with teams like Charlton, it's ok to lose against Arsenal and Man Utd and still win the league. That is the point ! There is no use winning against big clubs when the others make us lose vital points this way !

i admit it to we dont play to well unless the situation arises and when its a normal games like charlton or fulham we cant preform i predict the score against arsenal to be 2-2 or 3-2 arsenal

:(  GH says this comming wks game against arsenal  will be a  "make or break" game! what he does not seem to grasp is the likes of charlton, fullham, tottenham, etc, are the "make or break games!! the ones where we always struggle to get a result from. whats the point of showing our determination, and passion against the "arsenal,s and "man-us? but we fail miserebly against the so called "lesser teams!. Lets not kid ourselves, [i,m as passionate as any "red"] but it,s looking like another season of under-achievement! promises" promises!!
