Finnan should have started and Pennant too !
Fowler wasnt good enough and Kromkamp for the most part of the game was poor ! I think we need to find our best starting 11 and stick to them if we are to compete for anything ! cant see us getting nowhere with the way we played today ! simply not good enough !
And sheff. utd were'nt good at all ! it was us who were cra.ppy !

finnans got a slight injury

We should have killed the game off when they were tiring out near the end.

Absolute shambles, Rafa should get a slap for the team he fielded today, it's the start of the season, most players should be able to play today and on tuesday, why leave players out when we had to get off to a good start? Rafa at times seems very niave to the way the Premiership works, he probably thought that Sheff Utd after a while would just roll over and die and if he thought that he's wrong.

I haven't seen the match, but I'm not sure I'll bother tuning in for the highlights, pathetic starting line up for the opening day of the season, that's two points down the drain to relegation battlers, well done Benitez you did well today.

He'd be right to and all. It was no penalty. Liverpool were rubbish, just about deserved the draw.

Shocking!! All credit to united, they worked and worked and simply didn't allow us to play and were more than a little unfortunate to have the penalty given against them. Kronkamp is simply not good enough and I think Aurelio will need a lot more conditioning with regards to the English game before he plays again for me.

On the whole hugely disappointed, massive improvement needed and already we've handed the chav's a two point start! :veryangry

How does that add to the misery..stroke of luck there then, otherwise we would have lost..

i mean, i'm not happy gerrard passed that protest for the penalty
i don't like it, there's no contact or whatsoever
if the referee came into that decision without gerrard's interfere, that's just lucky

i won't mind if you like it, but i'm just not happy
probably if it were bellamy, i wouldn't mind

An absolute DISGRACE. Pennant should have come on earlier. Kromkamp - can we please get rid of this JOKE. Overall I think not one Liverpool player rated anymore than a 5. The first half was an absolute joke and the second only got better after they scored. Agger is a poor mans Jamie Carragher and would be lucky to help do up his laces before the game. 2 Points lost. We need to beat these teams and beat the convincingly. Lets hope Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal also have slow starts.

Completely hammered them in the 2nd half - cr@p defending for their goal.  Defo penalty - Stevie would've scored had the defender not tapped his big toe.  Great penalty by Robbie btw.

Kromcamp doesn't impress me at all and overall we played a few too many loose balls.  I wish Rafa would've put Crouch on

the referee's a w@nker

credit to gerrad though, hre tried stay on his feet and tried to score. some cheating feckers would have gone down quicker than a filipina hooker

No... i think we were awful and Rafa should'nt have started the players he decided to start... im not sying we need to field a stronger team... just different selections !
Wouldnt have minded seeing Gerrard on the bench alongside Alonso and Fowler ! Would have liked it very much if Pennant, Gonzales and L.Garcia were in there along with Crouch or even Bellamy and Zenden and Sissoko ! Zenden wasnt bad today... its just that gerrard came deep ALOT to try to take a shot or play  good through pass !
Was a dissapointment all along and Riise's injury and Carragher's made things even worse !
