if rangers and celtic where to join they should start from the confrence and just draft them in for cup games to see how it goes it happened to welsh teams swansea, chester etc so why not scottish teams

Perhaps they could consider an experimental British cup instead of the League cup, where they have a similar format to that of FA trophy where its split into Northern & Southern sections. That way you would get an idea what kind of crowd trouble etc. having Scottish fans in England would cause, and would defo spice the League cup up a bit.

Is Ferguson the Scot for Anfield :

From Skysports 11th Oct
''Liverpool could still be in the hunt for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Barry Ferguson.
The Reds were in the chase for the Scottish midfielder while he was at Rangers, but never managed to clinch his signature.
Gerard Houllier was keen on Ferguson but now new Reds boss Rafa Benitez has his own ideas about his Anfield squad.

Benitez has already brought in Xabi Alonso to bolster his midfield but some have suggested that Ferguson could still be on the wanted list, with the Anfield board pointing Benitez in the right direction.
Agent John Viola says that Liverpool have had a continual interest in Ferguson, but as yet no new bid has come in.''

Seems unlikely for me !!  Skysports must have had a quiet day on Monday and were looking for a space filler !!
