It is also worth considering that one of the injuries was one we knew about before we bought a bloke. It was only a couple of weeks back that some on here were telling us that because our backroom medical team was the best in the business, Aquilani won't be injured like he was permanently at Roma (apparently their medical team is sh!t).

At some point during the weekend we'll probably do the money debate again I should think. It won't be Rafa's fault because he wasn't able to sign his "primary targets", somebody will mention that we would have bought Simao if we could have afforded it, and it will once again be claimed that Aquilani only cost 5 million quid because the rest is "add ons" (innit).

The owners no doubt will have a major part to play, no doubt "fecking Parry  " will get a mention somewhere along the line, and it will be "the players" who ought to "look at themselves in the mirror". "The refs" will have a conspiracy against us, and I'm betting that my "Rafa's doing it on purpose to get rid of the owners" conspiracy theory will resurface at some point.

We're already onto the thrice weekly "but who else is there" merry go round, which is always good fun. You know the one, people suggest a manager who might possibly also be capable of winning no trophies and losing six out of seven matches, and the other side go " feck off, you're joking right". Alternatively, they say "  feck off, he wouldn't come to us".

Same sh!t different day really.

Mick, i'm all for people saying we need a new manager, but realisitically...who is there?

We have no transfer cash, and this would be the first demand a new manager would want.

I also don't believe our side has turned into :censored: in the space of a few months. we finished 2nd last year and pushed Man utd all the way. Now everyone is saying we are :censored:.  Sorry, but Alonso was not THAT important.

Now we have numerous players injured, either the medical team have gone on holiday or they were talking b0ll0cks.

you are missing my point....i'll ask it in another way

Who do you want to be the next manager of Liverpool FC?

Lets think about it. You need someone who can match or better a record of no trophies for three seasons (and a good chance of being four). You need someone who can match or better a record of losing six out of our last seven matches, who has just presided over defeats at the mighty Sunderland and Fulham.

It's a tricky one I'll give you that, perhaps you're right and there simply isn't another manager on planet Earth who could match such lofty achievements.

re-read what i wrote and you'll notice that my POINT is WHO SHOULD REPLACE RAFA....if you don't understand a 'point' of a post, then imagine it is like a question.

now lets try again lad...who do you want to be the next Liverpool FC manager.

We will just have to see where we are at the end of the season and analyse how we have performed. Atm sacking rafa would do no good!

It appears to be so Dav. That's why I don't get involved in the "but who do you want to replace him" game anymore. There isn't another manager on planet Earth who could match whatour current manager is doing.

It's all by the by anyhow, I think we should wait and see where we are at the end of the season. At least that way, if it ends up turning out like I suspect it may, there might at least be a bit of concensus from the fans as to what the right way to go is. That way, whoever is in charge in future will get the full backing of the supporters.

This is a Liverpool supporters forum afterall.

i know mate, the lad is either a wind up merchant or a complete retard.

NO self respecting liverpool fan would suggest Steve f**king Bruce.

The question was who is good league manager ffs not who I want to replace rafa stop being a Pr!ck.

i didnt pick rafa and didnt pick houlier.
but these people turned up.
i would look around the world and see who is doing a job and seems far more tactialy aware than others. this does not need to be a big name.
With my limited resources of football managers around thw world, and you are so desperate for a name. I'll give you one pretty pointless really but

I reckon Rafa would be hard pushed to motivate anyone to take a dump after a ton of lentil curry....never mind what he's being paid to do.
Same old lame excuses time after time. The pox he has signed over the years is sorry, sad and pathetic. And one or two swallows do not make a summer....

Yes, there is no one in the world that can manage this group of players better than Rafa.  I believe our fit first 11 can match any other team in Europe including Barcelona.  If it wasn't for the big injury crisis, we would be very close to the top of the league.
