Its beyound me how he can pick holes in that performance it was almost perfect even furgie said so and to get that response from the red nose tw.at is a uber ! (uber yes internet chat for fantastic , wait why didn't I just type that this is taking much longer O why I bother.)

Sometimes I just watch him beat a player, then lose the ball on the next player he comes against. He doesn't go for headers, I never saw him go for headers, he doesn't look brave enough for me to win balls in the air.

Im not so sure yet about him, but I hope he proves me wrong.

Do you think it might be due to fact rafa has sucked the confidence out of him its not easy adapting to the rotation philosophy more so as a young lad.

I remember stan collymore was in and out of form all the time but remember babel is young and not all players mature as fast as ronaldo.

He will come good and with more exp , confidence , babel will come good if he don't only person to blame will be rafa for not giving him the chance IMO.

I think he will mature and gain more confidence while he grows up and gets his game, but I still have my doubt that he will become a top class player that most of us claim he will be.

I don't think rafa sucked any of his confidence, but I think he gained more confidence when he came to Liverpool, as he said it himself when he joined.

Yes when he joined but its like buying a kid some sweets putting them in his hand then telling him he can't eat them.

No point being one of worlds brightest sparks to the top club and sitting him on the bench most of time and playing him out of position.

Are you saying Ryan Babel's one of the world's best prospects?

Yes I take van bastins word over yours any day of week or are you now saying you know more about football then van bastin.

Nah, as long as people keep things reasonably civil it's actually a laugh to read.

My two cents...if I'm Rafa I'm starting Babel tonight and I'm saying this in his ear just before he steps onto the pitch: "you had a fine moment in the sun on Saturday, lad, but it won't count for anything if you don't reproduce that form tonight.  Get out there and start proving to me that you're more than just a handy lad to have on the bench."

you must remmeber that kuyt scored the same as berbatov did in their first season in the prem .

Like who?

I could say the same about Ferdinand, Bullard (who Capello obviously seems to rate), Ashton etc etc.

Then theres Lampard, everyone knows how overated he is, yet he's still picked by England managers and :censored: licked by Mourinho...

I don't really care who rates who, I know who I rate and thats final. Ferguson thinks Nani's class, I think he's a bag of :censored:. Ferguson rates Hargreaves, I think he's nothing more than an average player who's an exceptional athelete.

I really don't get ya point lad, or lack of one.

and guess what those guys are doing then ?

winning titles and trophies all over the world

so its quite eay to see who is more qualified and a better judge of players as they got the results to prove it - what do you have ?

So them being more qualified than me makes there opinion more valid... yet me being more qualified than every member on this board doesn't make my opinions more valid?

???

How's that work then?

OMG you are more qunkifide is ya tell us how come on this should be funny.  :p

Its beyound me how he can pick holes in that performance it was almost perfect even furgie said so and to get that response from the red nose tw.at is a uber ! (uber yes internet chat for fantastic , wait why didn't I just type that this is taking much longer O why I bother.)

Erm... lets see... for starters, the complete lack of shape from the team for there goal. The fact there was 3 crucial mistakes from Mascherano, Arbeloa and Skrtel which led to the goal.

Then theres the fact we scored two fairly lucky goals ourselves. There was also the missed chances, it wasn't like the missed chances were a suprise, they weren't. Thats the problem. Had Kuyt scored them both and we'd won 4-1, that would have been a suprise.

I could go on, but I won't as there was no faults in your eyes.

Stu you spotted the faults, every game has its fault, but I don't see you talking about the positives in the game.

Look, all I need to say is explain yaself lad.

Ya can't. Simple as. All ya do is throw insults, infact, to be honest, thats all of ya's av done through the thread, not one of you have backed up anything you've said with any reasoning. Everytime I make a point I explain it, you don't and you don't argue your point.

Babel mishit the shot and it went in, we got a bit of luck. Yay!

I'm happier than anyone we beat the mancs, I'm just not stupid enough to think this makes us a better side than we actually are and I certainly don't think this makes average players better than they are.

2 lucky goals, you mean the fact we had them under pressure to force a mistake, lucky, I am sure even steven gerrard would want to punch you in the face for such a flagrant disregard of the effort our team put in and basically played the best team in England and Europe of the park you nob end.

Come on I swear you love the sound of your own voice.

How much have you spent ont hose courses cos they must have see you comming a mile of easy money for them.
