Was it some kind of sympathy award much like Giggs winning sports personility of the year, although Giggs deserved that a hell of a lot more.

I think he was up there with the better managers last season mate.
This season he is down there with the very worst though  :D

Up there with the best, in what way?? he finished 12th in the league, how the hell is that up there with the best? Seriously apart from a lucky bumbling run through the uefa cup, which as we can see for ourselves is fairly fecking easy, what did he acheive last year?

Am not behind Roy, far from it.
But why was it a lucky bumbling run in the cup ?
And they got further than we did with a far inferior squad.
They have also struggled since he has left.
Like i said i want him gone as much as the next person but Fulham and Roy had a good season last season.
They would have finished higher up the league if the squad had been bigger as they couldnt compete on the two fronts.

Make or break though this week for Woy I think, if we come away with anything less than a win tomorrow with the inevitable against the Mancs at the weekend he will be gone!!

They were extremely lucky against Juventus, who could see themselves as being robbed by the officials in the game at Craven Cottage. One of Fulhams goals was a complete fluke too.

Perhaps this resting Torres and Gerrard is Roy's attempt at mind games???  The new Blackburn manager is a past master at it isn't he??  Oh no that's right, he's been in the job five minutes.

Roy, just pick your best 11 all the time until you have a decent record, and by that I mean us being top 4, and with more than one win away from home!!

I for one never thought of Hodgson as a great manager who would bring back the glory days. A steady, experienced hand to put us on an even keel was more like it to me.
I believe under the circumstances he has done a decent job, Not good. Definitely not great. We lie in 9th and its not beyond the realms of possibility that we will finish higher than last season. All the outrage and hysteria have distracted us from what his job was supposed to be and maybe with more support from the players and the fans we would have been higher.
If he stays until the end of the season and we do finish higher than 7th, will all those against him give him credit for being better than Benitez?

Well you see that's the infuriating thing isn't it. That's the thing that's getting everyone p!ssed off.

If hodgson is not a great manager and he was employed to steady the ship to put us on an even keel .He was not employed because he would progress the club or the playing staff or challenge for trophies or atleast com :censored:inpete. He has failed miserabley at his task and so have those that employed him . We are not steady , we are not on an even keel . He has succeeded in what he was not employed to do . To progress the club and the players , to win trophies and to com :censored:inpete . So this is the bit that p!sses me off atleast and the vast majority who could see this happening as soon as hodgson was employed . If we had employed someone better than rafa , we would now be in a none arguement , we wouldn't have any grounds to bleat . Everyone could see ((wether they admit it now or not ) that employing roy was and has since been shown a massive step backwards. We are now in a much worse state as a club under hodgson than we were under benitez (present owners accepted) .

See I disagree
I dont think we are in a much worse state than last season. We are probably about the same. There is no guarantee that we would have been 9th under Benitez at this point in the season. We have been to the bottom and we are slowly climbing back up. If we put a decent run together we could end up in the top 6 or even the top 4. It is not impossible.
Yes we have had some atrocious performances, but hopefully the players will start taking responsibility, grow some plums and play like they did against Bolton.
Im sure many supporters felt like I did after Benitez went, that this season would be a long, hard, painful slog and things would get worse before they got better. That seems to be the case, but its not all doom and gloom if we can show some consistency and character. This week will be interesting...

no doubt all those goals were pure 'luck' and Roy had no part to play in the way the team won

Well, the one that counted was. A chip to the back post that ended up flying into the top corner. Of course Dempsy will say he meant it, but I seen it about 10 times and it was a cross. Then there was the two joke decisions from the ref. No, they weren't lucky at all in that game.
