I cannot believe some of the poison that's been spewed on here whenever the topic of Roy Hodgson comes up. I agree, he's probably not the best man for the job and I see him as a stopgap to steady the ship that's been almost scuttled by the previous owners. I also agree that Dalglish should have been appointed instead... But to be honest, I do think that he's doing ok so far. I certainly believe that he will get us into a better position at the end of this season than where we were at the end of last.
All this bile is bordering on hatred.... Of course I'm not a "match going fan" in recent years, so how would I know if Roy's been disrespecting scouse tradition or something else...
But I do know one thing, this attitude is not the fabled "Liverpool way".. We've always given the incumbent time.... oft times... too much time in the case of Souness, Houllier and Benitez.
But to call the current manager all manner of names and disrespecting his speech defect is simply not on for me...... especially since it all started before the man even walked through to Anfield. Hodgson never had a chance. And as much as I don't rate Benitez, I don't think wishing him failure at Inter or baiting posters into an ill advised response is too wise either.
The manager issue has polarized the supporters in recent years.... Pro RB became Anti RH and vice versa..... too be honest, the arguements put forth for either side is oft times petty and seemingly devoid of rational thought.
This has to stop.... we need to be united again..... All this baloney is doing us no good at all.
Time for one and all to let go, grow up and help the club move forward.....
IMHO, of course.
