 Of course I'm not happy with the way we've been playing, we are playing sh!te. I've been saying we've been playing sh!te for long enough, and you've been denying it you numpty :D. Don't you remember Hull away last season, don't you remember the 19 defeats? Do you think we finished 7th through an act of God or something?

I think we need to be more expansive and play at a higher tempo. I think Steven Gerrard needs to play in central midfield, I think Lucas is a mile off being good enough. What is different from what I've always said? I never thought either Maxi or Jovanovic were good enough before this weeked, I still don't, what's changed? I think Martin Skyrtel isn't as good a centre half as Daniel Agger, I think Paul Konchesky is a good signing, what's changed?

The way you and your mates are carrying on is an embarrassment to yourselves though fella, it truly is.

Does anybody remember when we played Villa away last season? It will have been around November time I should think, and they absolutely played us off the park. After battering us for the whole match, someone tackled someone and the ball inexplicably ricoched to Torres who buried it and we won 1-0. To read on here, you would have thought it was the result of some great tactical masterplan, how things change :D .

We are an embaressment because we arent happy with what we are seeing on the pitch at the moment !? ?We are looking at right now and not constantly harping back to last season and previous manager - its right now .

Not one person has said - sack the manager - everyone who has posted something negative about the manager wants to see improvement from everyone - the players , the manager .

We've won four out of four European ties, including Home and Away games against a Turkish team who are notoriously tricky. We've won a very winnable game at Home in the league, drawn with Arsenal despite having ten men, and drawn Away at Birmingham who are unbeaten at Home for a year.

But we aren't playing well, what a shame. People are launching their toys out of the pram with a vengeance, spitting their dummies as far as they can project them, and all because we aren't playing well. We've got a tricky game at Man Utd at the weekend. What next, sack the manager if we don't win 3-0

Peoples true colours are well and truly shining through if I can quote Cindy Lauper for a second (it's not every day you can do that), and it's a real shame. I never thought I'd see the day when Liverpool supporters would round on a manager after four league matches, regardless of what they thought about his predecessor (and PLEASE don't give me the "but it's nothing to do with Rafa" line, it's frankly embarrassing to read) I'm just saddened to read it.

I always thought our fan base was different. How wrong I was :( .

Whos rounding him up?

No ones calling for him to be sacked after 4 games or have I missed something?
People are frustrated because we look the same from when Rafa left(only we are making less chances),its like watching the same sh'it,no adventure, too static,cautious....people wanted change,so far it looks like we aint gonna get it but he's a smart man and I think he'll get there. He deserves time.....but its fine to say we are playing sh'it cause we are!Apart from the Arsenal game when I should mention we were fantastic we have been terrible, absolutely dire.......theres no running away from it!

So we blame the manager cause he is responsible.....like we will praise him if he beats UTD at the weekend!

I dont see anyone calling for his head, but I see yourself with a strange belief in him..why?I dont know.....Maybe you'd better hold off until at least the season is over FFS you talk about him at times as if hes a world beater....the jurys out,he's a lot to prove!

Not one person who is critical of the manager has said " Sack him " but that doesnt sit well with certain people so they are making things up .

Think you sum it all up spot on - we all want a change in performance we all want us to win and to move forward .

Barry you've been fairly sensible about the whole thing, and fair enough. I'm not denying we're playing sh!t, we are, but the issue is surely what it is reasonable to expect from the manager after only a few matches.

I wouldn't have played Lucas on Sunday, nor would I have played Maxi Rodriguez if I could think of an alternative. Neither are anywhere near good enough, we all know that. Also I rate Agger higher than Skyrtel, but think that the injury Konchesky was carrying possibly explains that one. Like you I'd like to see us being more expansive, and since I've seen us play once under Roy I've said I'd like to press the ball higher up.

All of which is fair enough, as is any criticism of the manager. There is difference however between criticism based on sensible football points and some of the nah-nah-nahnah silliness that Benny and his mates are engaging in. It is quite obviously based around an "I told you so" agenda (although what they told us I'm not entirely sure TBH) and is sad to see. Equally, their "nobody is saying sack the manager" is very hollow when you consider that most of their number have already declared Roy to be beneath the required standard, have taken the p!ss out of all things to do with him, and are positively clamouring at the bit to get digs in about him, accurate or not.

If they and their cohorts on Rawk manage to drum up enough support  to drive Roy Hodgson out of the club they will be happy as feck, we all know that. It's a shame to see but that is the reality.

You live in a dream world and are unbelievably arrogant - how can my critism be different to yours from last manager - read my posts and you point out ones which arent football related .

You and your cohorts looked to drive out previous manager - what was it called then ?

I am not happy with what i am seeing this season and i want things to change but currently the manager is getting it wrong and thats exactlky what i am saying - so how am i any different to posters like yourself who critized the previous manager ?

Well Mick I know its early days but if he keeps setting the team out the way he has done so far he will be making a rod for his own back!I am not aware of any campaign to oust our manager but if such exists,I'm ashamed of my fellow fans...the guy deserves a chance.

I know no one will admit it but even Rafas biggest fans were tired of his defence minded football....of that I am sure.
We want change,we want a team that play to win first and foremost not damage limitation...we had enough of that under Rafa..

I hate to compare us against our rivals but if you look at us when approaching the final 3rd under Roys system we have maybe one player making a run,not enough players finding space...look at UTD ffs they have numerous options every time they go forward...they wanna score,we are more worried about a counter attack than committing men forward. You dont win games by not being caught out...you need the ball in the net and you need men up there to do it...not an isolated striker with at least 2 defenders on him and no support near him.

Roy has been too negative, its not an opinion its a fact and simply he needs to change it.....grow a set and go for it Roy!

A couple of things worry me at the moment - the lack of clearcut chances we create they have been too few so far , from what i saw we didnt create any of sunday , - our lack of possession during all the games - even at home against West Brom we didnt control the game and finally not closing them down enough and sitting too deep - it just puts us on the back foot .

Theres nothing wrong with "dragging up Rafa" ...when you compare things you compare it to its last or nearest similarity. For example if you buy a car and it sucks...you'd naturally think and compare it with your last car...if you :censored: a woman and she aint all that hot, you'd compare her to your last..........If you get a curry from a different curry house and its not that tasty, you'd compare it to your usual??

Its not a case of dragging up Rafa....its merely a case of have we moved on or will we?People can mention Rafa all they want IMO,I know some people on here never want to hear his name again and that is their right to opinion....but the way I see it the man gave 6 years of his life to us,loved the club, embraced its culture and put all he had into it.........OK he never got us where we wanna be but he gave it all...Im greatful for 2005 and what he tried to do.

The man deserves respect....not laughed at or ripped as if hes a joke....he's part of our history and deserves more respect than a lot on here put his way!
