For that matter rumours are present herefrom a while ago that Rafa will leave Liverpool in summer. According to the gossip moguls here, Rafa will require two things to stay in Liverpool, winning the league, and then, getting the money he needs to go forward.

So at the end of the season the only one to be happy will be Peewee, either Rafa is sacked, or we're league champions, he always wins. 

to be honest sabre i am happy that rafa has at least started to  show that he is learning and i feel we will be there of thereabouts at the end, all he needs to do now is address the big problem on the right.

and as for woof woof, duh. someone else trying to twist comments hoping for an argument, pretending to miss the obvious point of my comment shows you are stirring it, however if you did actually miss the point....... well what can i say

where am i laying any blame? i say 'it could', its an opinion and its a possibility and at no point do i say that if it is rafa using the press then he is behaving wrongly, so tell me where exactly am i laying blame? saying i am laying it at rafas door is another way of saying i am blaming him for something is it not?

or is it just more likely that you looked at who wrote the post and tried to twist it?

glad you noticed that mate, and if you notice its the mods who are suppossed to stop squabbles on the forum that tend to be the ones looking to start squabbles.

sorry for going off topic but i wanted to say this:

liverpool are in the news right now because we are having a very good start to the season and there are murmerings that we might just have a go at it this time. therefore there has to be at least one liverpool story in the football press every morning, even if it isn't based on much. this is today's story.

18 months is plenty of time to get a new contract sorted out. its not as if he's losing transfer value and will be eventually be free to leave on a bosman.

Could be a massive problem Leon. With lots of ramifications if the Americans don't want to offer Rafa a new contract, just for starters they're hardly likely to entrust him with funds for fresh transfers, and it's anybodies guess what effect the prospect of Rafa's departure could have on our players.

I'm hoping that the fact that the Americans haven't yet moved on Rafa's contract is a sign that they don't expect to still be the owners of LFC come the start of the new season.

Optimistic I know but given the economic climate a distinct possibility.

It's too early to be thinking about contract extensions, Rafa still has this season and maybe next to prove he can challenge for the title which he has so far failed to do. 

This is a crucial point in his tenure, if he doesn't get it right this season he may very well be getting his P45.

i agree, there is also the fact that if a new owners comes in and doesnt want rafa then they would have to pay any lenghty contract to get rid of him. it is possble its on hold while a new owner is being sought

Get a grip , the poster wasn't slated for having an opinion, it was the opinion that was slated, hardly cause for spitting dummies.
