Why are people voting for agger? He had a good seson, but to say he had a betetr season than carragher is... just silly even by my standards!

if i hadnt voted for carra i would hav voted for pennant... maybe gerrard then pennant...
but think he was wital for us and did quite a good job..

i know... subs and all... but still he put out in more games than any other liverpool player was and that means that what he offered was important to rafas plans and he did make a difference.

going forward, we seemed to lack decent attacking players this season and he was a very important outing in many games... good season... hope he starts more games next season if no other right winger is signed

Have you got the played mins stats handy? you might have a point but Rafa changes a lot the players on the wings in all games so that would boost Pennant's appearances. FAbio Aurelio would have been there in case he wasn't injured aswell.

So maybe the minutes played would be better to know how much players have been used.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked by that stat! Got that off .tv did you? That's amazing that he's had more appearances than Gerrard or Carra. Simply amazing. :oh:

It's confirmed by .tv so it must be true. I doubt he's anywhere near Gerrard or Carra or Kuyt in terms of minutes, mind, but it's still surprising he was involved in so many games.

Not my player of the season by any stretch of the imagination but he could go on to become a rather important player for us if he picks up where he's leaving off.

Gerrard again for me. He has had a so so season by his extremely high standards but i still think he is our linch pin and the only player who's absence from the team affects how well we play.

Agger should be in the poll. A very impressive first season for the lad. Sami has been a colossus for us since 1999, and because of Agger, we haven't even missed him.
Nobody has really stood out this year. Carra had a ropey start, but got back to his steady best. Same goes for Reina. Finnan has been consistent all season. Apart from the rearguard, there hasn't been anyone setting the world alight. That's why we're 21 points behind the Champions.
