From Hodgsons interview after the fulham match he was asked about a striker and replied along the lines of "We are looking for someone in the Torres mould, someone who can step in and take over if need be", I truly hope he doesnt class carlton cole as Torres like, or Zamora, because they arent, I dont think there is anyone like Torres when hes in the mood.

I reckon we will get Carlton cole and Roy will try and adopt a 4-4-2 scenario as one of his ploys, but I alos think he may well just stick with Torres and someone in the hole behind him, whether that be Babel, Stevie, Cole or Jova.

I think the striker coming in will be there to help if Torres is injured or in lesser games which are already won, hes going to treat Torres with cotton wool because if he gets injured, at this time we are knackered.

Konchesky is a good full back, doesnt get forward as good as Johnson but he is always there to back up the attack and he is always there to defend. You can see that he is an experienced full back who knows his role well. He is always strong and doenst panic. He is no star player but I'd rather have average players who fit in the team. He is worth no more than 3 mill, but I'm afraid that we'll give more for him. I hope that he can prove that he is worth it.

Rafa never signed a left back w/ strong defensive attributes and got rid of the only one that did(Warnock).  Welcome PK!!  YNWA!!!

Needed a left back = signed a left ,back problem solved I had Phillipp Lahm down as my preferred signing and maybe David Villa to partner Torres then I realized that we are not Man City, put the phone down to the Samaritans and thought I would give the lad a chance to kick a ball for us before I slit my wrists. Get a grip FFS !
