Morientes was a total flop, so for me, he isn't better quality than Cole or Konchesky. And despite your descriptions for each of the players I mentioned, none of them change the fact they were all second/third rate signings. You are the one talking a load of cobblers.

What about Voronin, Morientes, Pennant, Diouf, Dossena, Riera, Lucas, and N'Gog to name a few? We've had to settle for second/third rate players like them already and I would say Konchesky and Cole are of better quality than that lot.
Morientes a second/third rate player below the quality of Carlton f*cking Cole and Paul Koncheski.![]()
Riera was and is a good player and Spanish International.
Lucas has just been called up to the Brazil squad and has already played more than twice the amount of games for them as Konchesky has managed for England.
N'Gog is a talent. If you can't see that, you're blind.
Pennant was a gamble forced on the manager after the Sabrosa and Alves deals fell through due to a lack of funds/Parry's trust.
(Whatever happened to them?)
Dossena was an Italian International who clearly struggled to adapt to the pace of the English game and zonal marking.
Diouf and Voronin I'll give you, but Voro was free, remember? We also got some money in for him when he left.
You seriously could not wish for a more informed fanbase.
I didn't say N'Gog wasn't a talent - the players I listed were referred to as second/third rate for Liverpool. If you think N'Gog is first rate, YOU are blind.
No. You said; "What about Voronin, Morientes, Pennant, Diouf, Dossena, Riera, Lucas, and N'Gog to name a few? We've had to settle for second/third rate players like them already..."
Not once did you mention Liverpool. Be honest with yourself - it was a broad, sweeping statement that you just didn't think through.
It's OK - we've all been there.
For the record, though, since the start of the season, N'Gog has scored 4 goals in 6 games.
Cole has scored 0 in 4.

he's a striker FFS he's meant to score goals!

I reckon we're doing the right thing and adding some stability to the squad. As soon as/if we get investment then i am sure Roy will go after players with more quality. What people have to realise is that we are no longer a top four team, but we must work to get back there. Tottenham were in the top four last season and they were there on merit. We may be one of the biggest clubs on the planet BUT the club needs to work, be smart, take time and not make any more stupid mistakes if we want to get back where we belong.
I'm really happy with what Hodge has done so far. He is the right man for the job.
When Rafa opted to add stability to the squad, he was verbally raped at every turn for "squandering" massive amounts of money on squad players instead of getting "1 World Class player".
Odd, then, that Hodgson is the right man for the job when he is very obviously adopting the same approach as the previous incumbent.

The words "We've had to settle for second/third rate players" means I was obviously referring to Liverpool. Are you that arrogant not to work that one out? It wasn't a sweeping statement. It was well thought out, which you have obvious problems doing.
Just because Cole hasn't scored doesn't make him a bad player. He's just going through a bad run. I'm pretty sure N'Gog has gone through a few of those.

"Stability"?

Rafas revolving door policy was far from stable
Bit like his mind at the end to be honest...

Quality isn't a matter of opinion, though. Nor is ability (or inability) to adapt.
It's fact.
By your logic, if I said "In my opinion Anfield is in Manchester", I couldn't be wrong.
You silly sausage.
As for the rest of your post:
Shhhh, there's a good boy. I must have imagined the facts in my post...
