These are the same people who cheer his every goal and tell you how good he is when he's at his best and how he's past it when he has a baron spell.

So you'll be cheering him on when he pulls on the Manc shirt then will ya.

Now who's the tool!

Man ... you really dont have any appreciation for what Owen did for your beloved club?

Disgusting.

It is LFC that gave Owen his footballing education and made him an international striker, which ultimately got him his move to spain.  And in the end what did he do?  Let his contract run down so that we had to sell him for peanuts to avoid losing him for nothing a year later.  So what is disgusting is what Owen did to the club.  Unlike others, i recognise what LFC did for Owen, which is more than he gave in return, and if people can't see that then they are blind like yourself.  I know loyalty is probably alien to you being a chelski fan and all, but at least try to understand

And seriously, why are you even on this forum?

You might be right, maybe no one is interested in my POV. Im just a visiting fan, but I have a lot of respect for Liverpool and I love the support the fans give. I really like Rafa and a lot of the players, thus i visit this site and try to contribute in anywhich way i can. I have never slagged anyone off here, never said anything bad about the club - but always expressed my thoughts on players, new signings and the great European win.

But one comes across arrogant fu.cks like you who really have no clue other than to use words like 'Chelski' and 'I know loyalty is probably alien to you being a chelski fan '.

Its funny cauz you would have been saying the same of Gerrard if you had not won the CL - cauz he would def. be on his way out.

Ill just pass you as one of those scum fans.

I think that even if we do have first refusual on Owen, Rafa would not buy him back.  Real are asking for 16M and thats would be quite a substantial amount of the transfer kitty spent on one player.  IMO, rafa will probably be looking at a dozen other strikers who can do the job for half the price, so i dont think we will be seeing Owen back anytime soon.. so that would leave him the choice of one or two other clubs in the Prem, that most probably being either Arsenal or ManU... so his choices are limited.
Of course i will be gutted if he decides to join the mancs.. but the way i see it, as long as Rafa builds a stronger squad for us and we keep winning everythin in sight in the next years.. then who cares where Owen goes?

It is annoying to me that Owen would take this club for a ride by stalling on contract negotiations, the same club that took care of him and whos fans idolized and suported him, only to benefit a club who did not really want him and did not play him. Real will sell him for a profit, and the net result will be that Liverpool would have lost out on alot of money. If the player wants to move on that's fine (then good luck to him)  he should have at least been honest with the club two years ago because this was always likely to happen. Liverpool has always had a tradition of supporting their players, Owen owed the team honesty.

Ferguson tells Man Utd to fund Owen bid

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is urging the club's new board to fund a deal for Real Madrid ace Michael Owen.

The Times says Ferguson has instructed his board to explore the possibility of buying the former Liverpool player and, while the path to such a deal is strewn with various obstacles, United have ensured that they will be at the front of a queue of clubs jostling for his signature if he becomes available.

The first and most obvious stumbling block is Real's £13 million-plus valuation of the player, whom they signed in an £8 million deal from Liverpool last August. United are working under tight financial constraints under the new ownership of Malcolm Glazer and, under the terms of his business plan, have only £6.25 million to spend before the end of their financial year on July 31.

He may be going to Chelsea???

Well how about coming on a Liverpool FC site calling yourself 'Chelsea forever' and calling my point of view disgusting??  What is irritating is that being a Liverpool fan I have obviously analyzed the Owen situation to death and have come up with my own opinion which i posted previously.  Yet somehow you think your opinion trumps mine, even though you know nothing about me and probably haven't gone over the Michael Owen situation in your head nearly as many times as I have.

Then you patronise me by saying I don't appreciate what Owen did for the club??  Do me a favour

And in case you hadn't noticed, the majority of members on this site will have used the phrase 'chelski' to describe your circus of a club, so I guess we're just all arrogant then??

And back to the topic, Owen screwed us over, bottom line.  If Lampard or Terry did the same as Owen did to us you'd be fu.cking livid and I doubt you'd welcome them back so quickly.  I'll look forward to the day Fat Frank moves abroad

I wouldn't be surprised if Fergie is interested in Owen because he is a proven goalscorer and has done so well in Spain if his appearences and role as a sub is taken into account.

We should be interested in him also but perhaps do not want to be in a position where Real bargains for a swap with Gerrard plus more of Real's unwanted players.

Because, el_stinger, Fergie is a tw*t. He has too many strikers at the minute, and surely he isn't thick enough to try and sign an ex-LFC idol!?! Their "fans" would never accept him. Plus, I doubt he'll have the dosh now they are £800m in debt.:p

Of course they would accept him. FFS they signed Smith didnt they andthere was no backlash there.

I would love to see owen back at anfield. but i would expect Real to try and use him in a purchase of Gerrard.

Oh look...another serious thread turns into a bitch fight....what is wrong with people in this forum.
So what if this is a "rumour" it has generated three pages of responses so I would suggest that it has justified it's own thread....nevermind that rumour thread is cr.ap
And as for Chelsea forever...well I hate his team, I mean I really hate them...but his comments are always respectful and to start slagging him and others and telling them to fu.ck off our site is a bit harsh. I mean all he did was point out that Owen was a legend for us and scored shed laods of goals and we ought to show some respect to him...which if you ask me is perfectly fair comment.
This site is past losing any dignity whatsoever. I don't know who the moderators are but they need to start baging some heads together because there are a few on here who do nothing but slag other people off for having an opinion and having an opinion is what this site is all about.
