Fantastic news for the lad!!

It's a fecking disgrace though that in a country that claims to be a world leader and your innocent til proven guilty that it's taken this fecking long to free him.
Yeah he was tried in Bulgaria but the minute he was back in this country he should have been freed and Bulgaria told to prove that he did it.

Spot on Nan, it'll give him the chance to see that the fans haven't forgotten him over the past four years.

Good luck to the lad, hope he does get some dosh but our Govt' won't accept any responsibility for that, he'll be able to get back on his feet though cause the papers will want his story and no doubt a publisher will be after getting him to do a book..... if anything good's to come out of this it's that he will be comfortable for a long time to come.....

Just showed him leaving in a car, window was down and he gave the cameras a thumbs up with a big smile on his face, so pleased for the lad, 4 years too late but at least justic has been served, and I agree that Jack Straw is a useless c.unt who needs a kick in the d!.ck

Great news.  Obviously he deserves serious compensation for this, but would also be nice if the club made some sort of gesture, like others have suggested, perhaps having him out on the pitch before a game or something.

At last, not quite justice but at least injustice is set to end.

Not as if they had any evidence, I don't believe people should be convicted on the say so of inconclusive eye witnesses. I was on a jury, asked to convict someone of threats with a knife that couldn't be proven the accused had (f ed up forensics so inadmissable) and the eye witness was the daughter of the plaintiff with very dubious location to be able to see the incident (a long way away in dubious light and with dubious line of vision)

I'm suprised it got to court, waste of public money as the chances of conviction were slight indeed with the evidence available.
