Its the new formation imo, against teams that build from the back it leaves one player trying to cope with 3, plus Evra has been given license to go forward at will because he knows he can catch up with Kuyt if he makes a break.

I think the formation was working up until the point where we went a man light. We were getting into some good positions and I reckon we could have nicked one eventually. I just don't think Rafa had a plan B foreseeing a red card.

We were owned. Simple as that. Reina was poor and the defence was all over th eplace.

The sending off killed the game. And Mascheranos persistent dissent was not needed. Someone needs to have a talk to Masch about this, because it killed the game off befor half time.
