That go for Tommo, Souness, Hansen and Jamie Redknapp nanny. None of them allow a bad word to be said about Liverpool by any of the other pundits. Alvin Martin when he's been on the telly won't have a bad word said about us either, due to the fact that he's a diehard L'pool fan and his son David is our reserve keeper.

John im talking about all these pundits who have jumped on the Liverpool slating band wagon there seems to be more and more of them holding each others coat tails , I watched a vid in another thread and even Souness was sprouting you had three of our top players who were brought to the club by Benitez listening to him go on about what Raffa is doing wrong . They must have thought wtf he on. Yes your right Mr Souness who won the champions league and took us to another final.
Great player and one of the best captains this clubs had but negative now im afraid.

Liverpool were playing Newcastle (I think it was the 97 4-3) and Richard Keys asked him "steve now Newcastle are above Liverpool does that make Newcastle the bigger of the two" McMahon nearly went for him and Keys literally backed away  Then McMahon went "OK Richard, go and stand on the Kop and say Newcastle are a bigger side than Liverpool"

i think a lot of people are just frustrated that in the first half of every season we make a lot of booboos which cost us the title every year. its not the anti-liverpool brigade, its a bunch of people who knwos we should be doing better than we are.

so saying that, we're still in it but lets beat the mancs tomorrow then go from there

I think this game with United will make it eight straight wins on the spin. I'm still going for a 2-1 win with Mr Torres getting both. I can see alvaro arbeloa being sent off  because of a dive by that overrated ponce ronaldo.

We'll start off in charge, but they'll score in the first half from a set piece that should never have been given - probably a deflection from O'Shea. We'll dominate the rest of the game, Torres will miss a couple of half chances, Gerrard will miss from the edge of the box, and Kuyt will miss a fairly easy one. Rafa will put Pennant on for Babel (who's playing ok) on 63 minutes instead of Kuyt (who's playing ok). Crouch will come on for Alonso after 83 minutes (should have done it earlier! Why the f#ck is Kuyt still on!). Torres will immediately miss a decent chance after being set up by Crouch. On 89 minutes Crouch will be hauled down just inside the box by Vidic ("you can't give them at Old Trafford" says Andy Gray), ref gives nothing, while our players are complaining the mancs go up the other end with their one passing move of the match and Ronaldo, after doing nothing all game, scores a tap in.

Rafa's too negative. They were there for the taking. Kuyt is sh#t. Riise is sh#t. We need more funds so we can rotate Torres with someone like Tevez. How many squad players has Rafa bought? We've needed a right winger for the last 10 years etc. You knows it.

Newcastle have missed like 5 or 6 chances with 2 cleared off the line . They should be ahead , i think fulham will equlise back though

I think they're notable comments, we talked about our lack of power/pace and clinical finishing ability up top at the beginning of the season, and how last season especially away from home, a lack of it had restricted our approach (which Rafa alludes to in the highlighted part). Always, whenever we've gone away to one of the top four under Rafa, we've had no option but to play containment football, with our forwards working off scraps and rarely posing a threat. The arrival of Torres allows us to change this. Cisse was the only one who possessed the pace and the power under Rafa, but he didn't have the composure in front of goal or during our build up play, the deft finishing ability, or the game intelligence, or the attitude you need. In Torres we now have a key solution to what was a major problem.

We also have the pace and excellent judgement of Mascherano which covers us (he covers better than Alonso IMO), which further enhances our ability and confidence to mount attacks.
