GYBS wrote:25 games magte - so are you saying Lucas was carried for 25 games ? im sorry but thats impossible to play that many games with just ten men and the other being carried ?

So which games this season have we lost becuase Lucas played

Oh and what was the turning point of the game yesterday ? was it not the sending off of Davies ?? who was bursting forward past the midfield carrying the ball when brought down by Davies ? was it Gerrard ? no it was Lucas

:D  you must be Lucas secret admirer.  :wwww

Just want to ask you a question, are you willing to jeopardize this season to proof a point that Lucas is either "can do a job" or Shlt?

Do you think we will have a bigger chance of staying the course with Gerrard back in the middle before we get back Aquilani (even Aquilani is no guarantee) ?

I think we are doomed if we continue to play LUCAS in the CM role. He can play anywhere else for all i care but not in CM. Just want to say I don't hate Lucas, but right from the start, I thought he was not good enough for us but it's been long enough that we realize he may not be suitable for EPL.

you are deluded, so now your prasing Lucas because he was involved in the sending off? next you will be saying how great his communications skills are because he mentioned to the ref that Davies was already on a yellow

and yes he was carried/protected nearly every time he played, he avoids the ball and when does get it, he passes it simple, that is not good enough for a player in our team.

No im praising Lucas for his forward run past the Bolton midfielders that caused the foul to occur in the first place - just like his forward run in the first half down the left hand side that resulted in the first booking as well .

Avoids the ball ?? rubbish total rubbish

Simple passes ? my god passing it simple is a bad thing now is it when Liverpool were brought up on playing and passing it simple to keep hold of possesion and now its a bad thing becuase someone like to play pass and move ?? what next ?

  :D I missed this exchange earlier, an absolutely classic example of GYBS at his very best.

the only change is the name Kuyt has been changed for Lucas...same people blame the same player..everyone else is faultless or suffers because of Lucas...apparently! :sleep

87 Pages of opinion, 1 verdict he isn't and never will be, good enough to wear the shirt, and before i get fifty plus comments angled at me, tell me one time he has been good enough, changed a game (in a positive way for the team)?, ran the game like an Alonso, a Masch or a Gerrard, simple answer is never, and before you go on about his age, 21/22, he's been around enough good players since he joined to pick up good their good habits but time and again ,he's out fought, out thought, by players who if we mentioned on here we were gonna sign there'd be murder, calls for the managers head that they were :censored:, lets face it once and for all, theres a decent footballer in Brazil somewhere called Lucas who had his Passport nicked a couple of years ago, must be, unfortunately we got the wrong one.

I'll ask something.

In the last Alonso dip (after one of his injuries) the one covering his position was Lucas, and he did well. He did well enough to make the alonso critics more critics and to earn praises in newkit, and praises in newkit are not cheap.

The question is, if he did it then, why he can't do that now? what was different back then? the team as a whole? Mascherano? is Mascherano paying a price because the team as a whole is not working neither? I always like looking at the context. And the context this year it has been worrying especially in the back. Yes, the CM is a problem, but often problems have an origin.

The point I'm making is there's no doubt we haven't played well so far. Even a happy clappy like myself has to admit we have to sort out many things. But I don't like to individualise in an easy target, and Lucas is an easy target.

Anyhow, I'd wait a bit more before using the good option of playing Gerrard in the middle

Not the "Black Spot" just the weakest link, he makes Kuyt look good
