WTF has Kuyt got to do with Lucas, what with being in a Lucas thread...............!?!?!

I think we are in big trouble if our solution to the less attacking/defensive two midfield roles in the side is Lucas and Mascherano who between them have so many limitations it is unbelievable. Mascherano might be a great ball winner, but what else does he do? Lucas might be a decent all-round player, but his limitation is in ability - decent but not great at everything. Personally I'd be happier with Alonso than Lucas and Mascherano as a pair

It seems strange to me that the Lucas thread is on page ninety, yet the Torres thread in only fifty five. Surely Torres is a better player than Lucas is a bad player. It proves that people would rather criticise than compliment, and people like that will always see the worst regardless of the situation. Opinions like that should not be taken seriously.

Seems perfectly obvious to me, this is a forum and in a forum you debate. There isn't much debate about Torres, everyone agrees he is one of the finest players ever to put on football boots and it is an honour that he's playing for us, whereas opinion on Lucas is slightly more divided.

Lucas clearly isn't good enough for Liverpool, nor are a few others. 

Since Rafa seems reluctant to move Gerrard back into CM, we don't really have an option but to play him there. 

The sooner Aqualini is back the better.  Just as long as he stays fit and injury free I think he'll prove to be a great buy.

I was merely observing we lost in one player more than we have with two ie Alonso > Mascherano & Lucas (combined)

Yeah like he was right about dossena (not) deggen (not) keane (not) n'gog (not) babel (not) voronin (not).......and Lucas definetely NOT!.......Yeah right, rafa very really gets it wrong??

Keane is not a bad player just wasnt right for us - degen admit is poor - dossena just doesnt suit the prem but you wont know that until he played in the prem - ngog is only 19 and has plenty of time and has done well on occasions , babel was highly sort after with plenty of skill , voronin has done well in germany and also scored goals for us  but then again thats a small number compared to torres,agger,skrtel,masher,pepe,xabi,momo,luis and more .
