The posts on Henry joining us are funny but in the wrong place. whats more amusing is that some people believe it.
Also, banter is cool but alot of people take it to far.

This coming from the guy who started a thread called "Transfers"--which queried why we haven't signed anyone yet--less than 24 hours after Kopbayou started his "Signing Anyone?" thread which asked, you guessed it, why we haven't signed anyone yet.

Surely a "long term member" such as yourself knows enough to look around for existing threads on a topic before spamming the board up with a thread covering the same ground?  ???

I don't mind the rumour threads or the wierd and wonderful ones, and most of the threads I dont like (the n..... word  one for example) I just ignore. Its the arguing for arguments sake cr@p that goes on that I dislike. Spoils some good threads and certainly puts people off posting. I am not talking about the major arguments where someone loses their rag and lets fly (they are usually quite entertaining :D ) but the nit picking arguing over nothing posts.

Im usually more of a reader than a poster, but this usually happens this time of the year. Newbies come into the site, they dont know about the rumor mill, they post rumors on the general discussion, people complain about a player and supporters of that player dont like the comments, etc, etc, etc. The same discussion is going on in several topics (alonso vs sissoko for example) and it does get old to see the same things posted over and over again. I usually just come on, check if there is something about a new signing (too lazy sometime to look on the net) and wait for these few months of madness to end.

Yeah similar to what Bav Said, its like what would come up in conversation down youre local is coming up as a main topic. Im not a long time member but it does get on youre last nerve when threads like " Im not one to start rumours but my mates dogs nans cats hamster..." Come up. Okay it is silly season but anything like that should be in a rumor thread.

God im out of breath now :D

no point anyone being a mod on here, if you follow the rules and do wat you are supposed to then you get booted, if you turn a blind eye to everything then you get kept.

figure it out

but to be fair the forum is rubbish at the moment, i log in, look at the thread titles and dont even bother reading them as its obvious they will be full of people talking about players who may or may not be joining, i cant be bothered getting involved in conversations about whether someones correct term is wing back or full back, or whether someone is good with their left foot and once scored a goal that we can see on youtube.

pretty boring at the moment, i am waiting until we sign someone and then discuss them

Footy Discussion has got worse since the end of the season and since Stu left. FACT.

Like him or not he gets some cracking discussion and debate going.

We are kinda in a lull right now, because we are waiting for news of new players and the images of the stadium.

There needs to be enough so that there is a moderator on here almost continuous. 24/7 moderation.

Are you putting yourself up for mod Leon?  :D

He'd be a better mod than me.

I guess he'd have a heavier moderation standard as in a thread that is not Liverpool football club related would end up closed earlier, but I could live with that.

no offence but dom hughes would be better than you  :p

(kidding!!!)

yeah, what we need are like jnr supervisors who just clean up, move things to where they should be, but do not actually say anything in moddish...

Thats exactly what I meant.

People who tidy up when on, nothing more.

I suggested it about 18months ago.

No need to label these people as a moderator, they can be covert, but htey just move threads to the relevant area.

Otherwise this place should just have one discussion area for everything.
