At the back, I thought Agger looked a little shaky at times (relative to his recent form) and was lucky not to give away a penalty on Ameobi.  Newcastle will feel hard done by on that one but given the lack of calls in our favour this season

i thought this one would have been harsh to have been given also, seeing as he was clearly offside anyway.

Good result and best performance of the season so far. The team is starting to show signs of settling down and gelling together now. Kuyt is starting to look like a very good prospect indeed and there are signs of an understanding developing between him and bellamy. Bellamy looked ok tonight but his finishing was very poor and he really should've had one goal at least. The defence also looked alot more settled and the only real hearts in mouth moments came when the barcodes should've had a penalty in all honesty.
It was no surprise to see us performing better as Xabi performed alot better tonight. He was looking alot like his old self and his pass for Kuyt's goal was quality and the goal was out of this world.

Good 3 points needed indeed, not a good performance and Spurs will trouble us more than the toon, I am happy we are the top half of the table, but something is just not right.

hmmm just loked at match report on bbc website, they hardly singing our praises, i feckin hate media in this country, we cant do anything right by them, most the journos kiss chelseas all day long, spurs have been all season, but cause they london team you dont hear dickie bird about them in crisis, takes the . Ok werent greatest performance ever , but we ripped em to pieces nearly whole match and with bit of luck could have been 5-6. , but we won 2-0 soo:D  lol

must admit thought, i dont think the assistant raised his flag, but from replay it was offside i think.

fowler e7 m7 think u being harsh on bellamy, most his "chances" he creates outta nothing really, he works very hard chasing lost causes and hustling players on ball, and just his being there creates oppurtunities as hes able to draw defenders outta position, think once a  goal goes in his nerves will setlle, ive personally been very impressed with him, a few inches her and there and he might have 2-3 allready this season, but like i said most the "chances" hes had are half chances really that hes created for himself in positions others wouldnt have been in in first place

I agree that he does make himself available really well, as he makes good runs and works the channels all day. However he has a real lack of quality in his shooting. He lacks invention as well sometimes, he trys to just run past players and good defenders will just show him wide (e.g Chelsea) making him ineffective.

Having said hopefully he will improve, coz he certainly hasnt hidden even though he's not playing that well, he keeps working hard and making himself available for chances so well see.

best performance of the season so far.

Totally disagree best performance of the season was against Chelsea, we played better on sunday than we did tonight.
That was the problem Newcastle arnt Chelsea and teams that win the prem are up for every game not just the big ones.
We just have new players now who think big clubs only matter plus a few shell shocked ones.
