It´s the same problem of the last years, we draw against small clubs that play with deep defences, we don´t know to play a creative football with plenty of combinations and between lines game (like Manchester United).

That´s key to beat teams like Stoke, West ham, Fulham, Everton, ect at home.

We have a great middle in the field from defence to attack but we lack top wingers I been saying this now for years.

Since we lost barnes with never replaced him.

Now I know alot of you will say how can you replace a legand like Barnes well you can't simple.

But you can bring in players they pull players wide and out os posistion.

We lack pace , passion maybe but its hard to have passion when deep down you don't believe you have the players to open gaps.

All you can do is hit stright meeningless balls and hope you get there players under pressure to make mistakes but as we keep drawing and showing little in attack teams will fancy there chances more and more when they play us.

Now alot has been said about kuyt and babel and lets face it they are no wingers tho they try they don't have the skill sets to do a job out there.

Many a time we have seen they find it hard to take on 1 players just to get a cross in yet rafa keeps playing them.

I sometimes wish he would even just setup a real 4-3-3 at least then we could have 3 on 1 positions on the other teams full backs and might just be able to crush teams with pure numbers.

But no he keeps things central and predictable , alot of people blame the players , ok this is sometimes fair but trust me on this most of time its due to how we are setup and told the most important thing is defence.

Also another point why does rafa favor the 2 DM (or holding midfielders) over 1 DM and 2 AM one can only guess he believes most games are won due to midfield dominance.

Ok maybe that is right but Its very rare also to see a team play well with out using the width of the pitch of useing the wide players to pull the center backs over before cutting or switching the play to find some one in space.

I feel rafa has no idea how to attack in english game i think this confuses him and I think he never will learn in a 10000000 years.

Its beyound him just as it was ramos and many other over seas managers.

there is no doubting his defensive coaching thats for sure but to play attractive / attacking football no rafa isn't there for me.

we need a new manager with new ideas and is in touch with how to break down teams as this great defence we have is being wasted on the lack of attacking options we have.

It´s not only about the wings mate, I agree with you, but to beat the small clubs you must to play with pause, not too direct because it makes easier for the rival defence (10 men behind the ball).

It´s preferable to touch the ball 30 times keeping the possession of the ball and playing between lines with the "give and go".

It forces the rival defence to move and produce spaces.

Direct game = not spaces

What do you expect the team  selection today was rubbish. We should be winning 4-0 in a derby. Rafa only thinks about himself, He plays for draws. Id get rid now , An buy Jose out of his contract. Motivation genius :nod

I actually thought most players did O.K but Kuyt and Babel on the right and left were embarrassing. Too decent wide midfielders (Riera and Gerrard) and we would have probably won the game.

If you had noticed mate - gerrard spent most of the second half coming in from the right . they had the whole team behind the ball - we needed a stroke of luck or we needed an arshavin type player to create something .

Gerrard was popping up on the right and the left, he made a couple of runs past Hibbert and even scored from the left – if you had noticed mate.

Good Good I sense the bitterness growing in this one, you can join my gang Nanny.  :D

In all seriousness I can't fault Rafa today, well apart from playing predictable football again, you would have thought a tactical genius like him would have worked out how to beat Everton over the course of a week, that's a fact No!

Feckin i hate the bitters i hate golum and i hate that sh.it blue shirt.. life is so :censored: at the moment. :(
One point to note i would like to see alonso taking some crackers at goal. His got a good foot for far shots. I think he tends to play a little to deep at times. I would like to see him advance more and take some shot at goal. We didnt take many outside the box. Also 95% of our crosses didnt reach the target. Every cross was dealt with a bitter rotten s.l.u.t !

On a serious note if rafa is still with us next season and we dont sort out the right mid position i will chop off the yankies peanut sacks.
I cant bare to see us going through another season with dirky boy on the right!!
