well. probably a deserved result that. for all our possesion, we didnt actually create that many chances, and chelsea had more clear cut chances and reina kept us in the tie with 2 great saves.

before the game i said i would have been happy with a 1-0....well i am not, the subs come too late, why the Hell Zendon did a full 90 mins is beyond me.every time a throw in was done to him he lost the ball.

A big chance missed tonight, shold have been 1-2

Bah.

So we have Finnan and we put Arbeloa who was playing in a lower category 2 years ago? this match was too big for him, anyhow this is hindsight. He had a stinker.

Those who doubt what Crouch provides, look of how unoperative we were in the first half with Bellamy.

Those who say that playing one striker with one attaking midfielder behind is negative, look the counterattack we received.

Agger was poor. Arbeload was very poor. Mascherano just average. Zenden, bah, not the worst to be honest. Alonso, Gerrard, REina and Crouch and Carra gave what we expected. Kuyt did what he could. But Rafa, I think you got wrong the starting eleven, and I don't say this often.

We're better than them FFS, and even the score is dangerous we can do it. Come on :angry:

We got it all wrong first half - much better second half. Only really Gerrards shot threatened them tho'

not the worst result, the game was as expected really... chelsea looked very one dimensional - long ball to drogba and nowt else tbh.
zenden saw a lot of the ball, but didn't do much with it. that one time when he came right down to the byline was a good example of this. we ended up with a corner from what should have been a goal scoring opportunity:angry:

not the best performance ever, but i'm still confident that we can do em when they come up to ours:)

How bad did we miss Steve Finnan. Probably changed the shape of our whole team. Im sure Riise would of played Left Mid if Finnan was playing, with Arbeloea at left back. Fecking hell we are missing some one who can find that killer pass or bit of magic.
