Javier Mascherano says it is 'possible' that his fellow Argentine, Carlos Tevez, will move to Liverpool.

Tevez is considering his future at West Ham United after admitting it may be time to join a major European club.

He arrived at Upton Park last August, along with Mascherano, with the duo's controversial transfer eventually landing The Hammers with a £5.5million fine.

Mascherano moved on again in January when he signed for Liverpool and he has impressed since playing regularly in the Premiership.

Reports suggest the UEFA Champions League finalists want to reunite the South Americans, and the midfielder believes his compatriot would be a big hit at Anfield.

"It's possible he will come," Mascherano told the Sun about the Tevez rumours.

"I would love to have him by my side as a player and a friend.

"After managing to keep West Ham in the Premiership, he has a lot of possibilities to move to a big club in Europe.

"When we talk we avoid discussing moves, but I know he's talking about a probable move to Liverpool.

"He would be a barbarian."

guys i think tevez would be a great adition to our squad! he is a hard working, quick, and strong forward - plus he has a great touch...would love to see him at liverpool.

that do you guys think? get tevez as well as go for another top class stiker? ala villa, eto'o? or young rising stars, like alexandre pato? huntelaar?

im backing rafa to bring in some awesome players...

We need a Tevez type player some one who can play in front of the opersitions defence and slide a neat pass forward to whoever we have playing up top.

He is as stong as an ox can shoot pass and run at the defence and he is so hard working and it is not often you see that from tecnically gifted players.

If Mascherano is quoted as saying this then, no matter what newspaper it is in, there must be some truth in it!

For me Tevez would be a great signing. I could see him and Kuyt form a very strong forward pairing. The oppositions defence would not get a moments peace with those two about!

Were crying out for a player like Tevez, someone who is a live wire and can add spark to our attack, we have to many strikers who play with their back to goal unlike Tevez who is a bag of energy.

I so hope we get him
