Javier Manquillo now valued at 40 million euros by Athletico Madrid ,after a spell of 31 games out of 32 for Marseille ,Juventus looking to buy him ,but have been put off by Madrid's valuation.

I imagine that will just be his mandatory release clause rather than the fee Athletico Madrid want for him.

Apparently he was stuck on 19 appearances for us and never got the 20th because it would have triggered a payment/obligation to buy (can’t remember exact details). Personally I thought he was a good defender and he improved his attacking play could have turned into an excellent full back. Was worth working with IMO.

He had all of the attributes to be a successful full back. If Rogers had set up a team to play to the strength of the individual he may have became a first teamer here. I don't know what he's done to warrant that sort of fee mind

I don't believe that price tbh, but doesn't matter to me, I loved that kid since game one, great attitude, always gave 110%. Not exactly gifted but a smart player nevertheless. Was absolutely gobsmacked that we didn't sign him.

Not sure about that price but I'm sure that the kid will make it.

I've always thought he that was hard done by here myself, Pig Catcher's post probably explains why.
