why dont we try our hand with bayern and swap for a loan til end of season babel for luca toni.

Luca Toni is a good shout mate, would be a good loan signing. The manager needs to be a clever bugger in the window this January and that is not something he is traditionally much good at. Hopefully the owners will free up some of the Xabi cash for a proper signing and then a couple of loan signings for players who have fallen out/can't get a game for their current clubs. It's a good time for this type of deal with the World Cup approaching and players playing to be on the plane.

How can you say we should get rid of "rubbish" like babel, when the guy has not been getting a fair crack of the whip!

what 10-15 mins occasionally? reminds me of sissoko when he was here. i thought he was 21 and potentially class. what happened? Rafa told him he was a bench player, so he went to juve.!

Rafa does NOT need any new players so to speak, just a change of balance in the team. I would change selection/ rotation etc.

what  do some of you "less mature and informed " posters want to do now? give Lucas a five year and 100k pw deal, with an option to manage?

Babel the new John Barnes!?! I've heard it all now, he might have some talent but come on, he doesn't have any stomach for a fight, he makes lousy decisions time and time again and every time he has been given a start he is virtually anomynous. See Arsenal in Carling Cup (when he was a senior player) for the most recent example of this phenomenon.

As fopr Sissoko, come on! We had to watch Momo pass the ball to the opposition for weeks on end before Rafa finally gave up on the lad. Again, he's got some talent, particularly against teams that really attack but he became a total passegner agaisnt the bus-parkers who turned up to Anfield week in week out.

I can't see much activity at all. We have no money, not much valuable assets to sell, a very thin squad and probably won't get to spend the money recouped from selling anyway.
