Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

just to stick my twopenneth into the funniest thread for ages. Rooney is absolute top quality and potentially, along with two or three others (I certainly would include Fabregas in the equation) the best player in the world. Anyone who seriously watches the kid play and comes to the conclusion that he is anything other than very, very special is watching a different sport to me. First time I saw him was on SKY in the youth cup. You didn't have to be Ron Yeats to spot it then. Unbelievable. The money ManU have paid represents absolutely zero on the gamble scale IMHO. Honestly AB, if we had him mate you'd love him. You must be able to admit that surely?

Shame you don't apply the same logic for Rooney then ay and maybe you wouldnt look like such an idiot. When did i write Josemi of either ya bloody tool? I simply said he won't become a great player which he won't. What your obbsession with Crystal balls aswell ya nugget? You can see weather a player has potential or not, just as you can with ability. Its not guess work, its judgement. Hence the reason some are good, others are poor.

Is it so hard to capitilize "I" you lazy ******

Waste of money

Thats a sign of writing a player off, you don't say that to a player if you think they will be good for the remainder of the season you friking idiot.

On to Rooney having a bad game. He can have a bad game I never said that he can't but to not be able to shoot on goal for 25 minutes is quite pathetic. Like I've said his performance against Middlesbrough wasn't impressive either.

Fabregas... Ronaldo and Adu are better than Rooney

You're as bright as my mayonnaise jar. Taff said to name teenage footballers and I did. I didn't say that they were better than Rooney, I simply listed other footballers you muppet.

You are simply an idiot. You don't know your football and i would strongly advise you stop being such an idiot and arguing with MATCH GOING fans who actually know what they are talking about

Please look up the word idiot. I don't think you understand what that word means.

You don't know your football

Haha I laugh at that pathetic comment, when you watch something other than the Premiership you can talk. I've watched games from all around the world not just games in the Premiership. I've seen more games than you can possibly imagine.

MATCH GOING

Because I never been to Anfield you conclude that I never went to an actual match? Get of you high horse, you are disgrace.
You can't make up your mind, you change your opinion every other minute. You need to learn what the concept of "freedom of speech", aka stating your opinion means.

Sure I would love to have a talented player such as Rooney like him but you have misunderstood what I've said all along and that is that Rooney has been overhyped by the British media. To say that he is the next Pele and to talk about him every day for weeks is quite annoying.

Thats all I've said however I've been misunderstood.

you have to remember that most of the lads on here are english and biased toward english players. When they get a sniff of a decent player they automatically reach for the superlative button. We all do it.Im Irish and i reckon Keane is the best striker in the premiership, the other Keane is the best midfielder(after Gerrard of course),Duff is the best winger and Given is the best keeper. You get my point?when it comes to our own countrymen we have blinkers on.A billion Chinamen couldnt give a flying fu.ck about Master Rooney and 200 million americans could care even less.Pele had almost singlehandedly won the 1958 world cup at a similar age to Rooney. The lad has a long way to go before he`s considered in that company.

AB do you really have to turn every thread you get involved in into a war of words?

This is a forum, where different people air their different views, opinions and perspectives on our beloved LFC.

No one is right and no one wrong, what we do here is listen to and discuss the topics. If you disagree, then by all means tell that person, but please provide some evidence to back up your claims instead of simply calling people names.

If you insist on getting into an argument with every other member, then you will soon alienate yourself from everybody.

I wonder if their is a footballer somewhere in the undeveloped world with the kinda talent that would dwarf even Peles but because they live in the remotest corner of outta mongolia they wont ever be spotted. Can I have him in my team? ???

Yeah!! Sweet.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.
