Hyypia and Henchoz haven't looked solid for a while now - and i'm going back to last season. Maybe injuries are to blame, maybe tiredness, but there is definitely disillusion in the defence, they play too deep for a start. It's inviting attackers to come at us.

talent dosent die but form dips and we dont have the depth to rest him so on it goes,buy john terry to partner him

Hyypia was having problems with his form last season,so to try and pin the blame on Biscan is outrageous.All defensive partnerships hit a peak and then begin to falter,so perhaps the Henchoz/Hyypia combination is drawing to a close.I quite sure when Boumsong arrives he will be the main man.

hiya supersub ,im beeker how much do u know about this boumsong ive read about him in the papers but never noticed him on tv r we having him watched or just taking agamble again,sorry to sound negative but gh has had money to spend every season ,hell b back in france eating snails if we end up skint and mid table,boumsong s##t hot or just s##t

Hyppia's defending like a novice,frightened of being turned so he backs off allowing the attacker time to turn and come forward.This was exactly how he played it last year.

After the performance in the second half today - we need a back four....full stop.
It seems we can either defend as a team or attack as a team.

yeah i think Liverpool needs a more solid defender. Hypia has been dissapointing this season , and Henchoz having been out for some time, we do not know whether he will be back at his best again in such short time.

Hyypia is a poor player Liverpool should bring in some new fresh talent.Hyypia knows there is no competition for places so even if he plays bad he can still keep his place .Do liverpool has an ambitious squad?
