I think Asier Del Horno would be a suitable left back and would fit in with the way the team plays, not only that but he's not very expensive either.

Nah. He was a mad signing up of Chelsea. He hasn't triumphed back in a top Spanish club, and the mid-big teams weren't arsed to pay a decent fee for him. Valencia wanted to sell him this summer.

He's strong and is decent when he goes up to try to head corners, I'll give him that, but I'd preffer both Fabio Aurelio and Riise before him.

Welcome BTW.

Micah Richards would also be a good buy but I'm not so sure he'd get as much starts as he'd like, since we have finnan, carragher, hyypia, agger, arbeloa who can all play in the same positions as him so if we did sign him we'd probably end up losing one of our other defenders sooner or later ???. Vincent Kompany is also a player rafa should look into, very similar to Richards.

Real shame we missed out on Heinze, would have been a very good signing. Showed great determination to sign for us but was never gonna happen unfortunately. Ah well.

Well at least he's moved up a club, even if it is only the second biggest club in the world instead of the biggest which the bitter mancs wouldn't let him join

This all happens at a time, I finally begin to be firmly behind the signing of Heinze, well isn’t that typical?  :D

His decision to go to R.Madrid is very much a sensible one; there was no way he would ever play for MU again, so he had to get out of Manchester and the MU dressing room, as soon as possible. I get the impression that he is disheartened about not being allowed to join Liverpool and the impression I get from the context of the articles is one of Madrid being his ‘back up option’.

The good thing to surface out of this farce, is that it’s over and MU have lost a very good left back, a much more accomplished defender than Evra can hope to be
