I'm more wooried about home games against the likes of Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle than I am about facing the likes of United and Arsenal.

that's because we put out our strongest team against the mancs and arsenal and we weaken our team against the others.

OK time for optimism and getting fired up. We have to win win win at all costs, feck the champions league we are not going to win that this year anyway, let's go into every game all guns blazing, release the shackles Rafa and lets beat Manure to the title, we can do it but the players have to believe and play to their very limits.

How's that for optimism, I bet that's scared some of you  :D

That'd be a spam sandwich, then.  :D

As for getting gee'd up about the run in, I think it is time.  We've had to deal with the disappointment of being overhauled in the league but it's now time to put that behind us and see what kind of pressure we can put on the Mancs for the remainder of the season.  If we win 13 games on the trot, I'll be delighted--even if we come up short in the title race.  So, I'm going to try and focus less on fretting about what the Mancs do and more on what we accomplish in our remaining games...it's the only way to preserve some sanity and keep some perspective, IMO.

In terms of the Champions League, while I acknowledge we haven't always been able to juggle both I still wouldn't want to see us completely deprioritize that competition.  For one, it's a decent chance for silverware and, while downgrading the importance of the CL has been a bit of the fashion around here recently, it still is a pretty fantastic competition to win.  More importantly, though, I think a good CL run will help us keep a winning momentum in the league. Success breeds success and I think knocking Real Madrid out, for instance, will give the lads the extra verve they need to get the job done in the league.  Conversely, bowing out early might dent morale and heap more pressure on everyone to perform in the league lest the season be considered a real let down.  So, for me, the farther we progress in the CL, the better we'll fare in the league.

Good post on the football front, I agree with the phrase 'Success breeds success' I just hope it doesnt become a drain on the squad.

We've already drawn to 5 and lost to 1 of the teams we've yet to play in the Premiership.

22nd Liverpool Vs Man.C

Sat 28 Middlesborugh Vs Liverpool

Sat 14th Man. U Vs Liverpool

Sun 22nd Liverpool Vs Aston Villa

Apr 4 th Fulham Vs Liverpool

Sat 11th Liverpool Vs Blackburn

Sat 18th Liverpool Vs Arsenal

Sat 25th Hull Vs Liverpool

May 2nd Liverpool Vs Newcastle

Sat 9th West Ham Vs Liverpool

Sat 16th West Brom Vs Liverpool

Sun 24 Liverpool Vs Spurs.

Utd have an easier run afaic, so even if we do manage to win all of our remaining matches, Utd can still show us up at the end of the day.

Rafa needs to understand that it's the strongest team out for every match now and none of this "resting" bullshit or risky nonsense like Fratton Park a couple of weeks ago. Caution needs to be thrown to the wind regarding Torres and he has to be in every starting 11 from here on in as he's our best chance of a goal and Rafa has left us with one realistic option up top for his favourite 4-5-1 formation.

The game at Old Trafford will certainly be an interesting one and I think that that is our only draw option in our run. A win would be better of course, but realistically we scraped it last time with help from an OG.

We still need Utd to slip up, no matter what. This has already been said of course, but it's the single most important factor for the remainder of the season unfortunately.

Yer know lads , a recurring theme seems to be that we have to win every remaining game ( and we probably do) but the inference is that MAN U won't stumble and "drop" any points.

Sometimes wonder where the "belief" is in this place. Seems many so called Liverpool fans have more confidence in Man U's ability than they do in the team they claim to support.

And before yer start with yer "yeah but's", thank f'uck you weren't in Istanbul, given the level of confidence and support shown in this forum lately, the team could've been forgiven for packing it in at half time and f'ucking off to the airport.
